You know what this game needs. Rocket propelled grenades. yeah.

damage would be ~130 so that it would oneshot anything on direct hit but most heaviest of mercs. Does barely anything to EV.
blast radius would be that of ~2.5m
secondary skill: rocket launcher HEAT grenade. cd 20-30s
damage 4 direct hits destroys EV. Has no blast radius and one shots anything under 100hp.
this merc would be effective in ev escort missions to both directions. Defenders holed up somewhere and can’t reliably dispose of them? Shoot a frag rocket at them and send them on their merry way. EV stuck under a bridge or can’t get close enough to reliably airstrike it? shoot HEAT:s at it. Need effective suppressive fire at longer range? Use your machine gun.
i recon that this merc would sit in a role that is somewhat too saturated, but I strongly feel this game needs rocket launchers. It would sit right there with nader, fragger and stroker in indoor explosives/room clearing and with arty, skyhammer and kira in ev destroying. But were this class to be in the game, great many things would be harder for fortified positions, since the rocket wouldn’t really be dodgeable and could be used at far greater distance than stokers, naders or fraggers. hense the long cd on frag rocket.
