Heavy=more HP

(iezza) #1

should this be in the game? i think it is a bit OP, because they already have better weapons vs lights speed. what does the light get in this tradeoff.

So heavy = 2 pro’s 1 con
light= 1 pro 2 cons.
(weapons,hp,speed)

(RAAAAAAAAAAGE) #2

Speed is more important than you think. With the reduced damage of a Game like Brink and the map layouts i reckon a light can get to cover most of the time before a heavy downs him.

(ktr) #3

Heavy is a much larger target. His hit-boxes are like ~2-3x bigger than the Light.

(Mustkunstn1k) #4

Yes, 2 > 1.
But that doesn’t mean that everything is balanced. Speed is definitely more important that hp and weapon. And the speed different is bigger than hp and weapon difference. The weapons aren’t that much better, they are very much focused on closer range.

I’m sorry, but your comments and threads just make my head hurt.

(iezza) #5

How do they make your head hurt? and yeah, the hitbox does come into it.

(Jess Alon) #6

Lights can climb higher and get above people and come from random directions to make up for the low HP. This has been done to death.

The stupidity.

:rolleyes:[/QUOTE]

I am sorry, but how is this classed as stupid? i am trying to be polite in every post, and you are making me angry right now.

Pretty much what they all said. It’s not how much health you have, it’s how you throw it around that matters.

(Mustang) #10

Smaller hitbox is a pro, so it does come into it

I don’t think the heavy is OPed whatsoever. A light could SMART up onto an area above the heavy and rain down hell. The tremendous speed of light’s will be quite useful when dealing with heavies, or trying to get to cover or a medic. Essentially lights will be to heavies that fly on the wall that you can just BARELY not get, he always stays one step ahead of you. This is not to say that heavies have the disadvantage, because they are damage sponges with immense stopping power. I think its a pretty fair deal, a skilled light could easily down a heavy, while a skilled heavy could take down a light with little effort.

heavies need high hp or they would be very underpowered. Slow moving enemies are easy for even the worst aimers to hit, they will get hit with way over twice the amount of bullets a light would, purely on speed and size, without higher hp they would be useless.

(DarkangelUK) #13

I think some people are over estimating just how much extra HP they get. It’s probably equivalent to 2 or 3 more bullets to the head, 4 or 5 to the body.

(Luk) #14

I think it’s wayy to early to be calling things OP. The developers aren’t stupid. If heavy was OP, they definately would have already fixed it seeing as the game is going to be released soon.

(Jess Alon) #15

Lights have a lot of advantages over the heavies. BUT a smart heavy player can have the battlesense to not let the light use them too effectively.

i think in this game the classes are pretty balanced and you can be succesfull with every single one of it. depends on how you gonna play.
