Health coloured crosshairs?

I seem to find that if I play with blood post processing turned off I do better overall as there’s less distracting stuff on the screen and possibly a confidence factor as you’re less aware of your health, but it means that if you’re playing on a bigass screen resolution you need to “look” at your health, distracting you from the action.

Now theoretically you could move the HP screen element in a custom HUD, something I might play around with, but what some other games do is either have an option to have the colour of the crosshair tied to your HP (so going from green to yellow to red as you take more damage) or have an indicator near the crosshair of your health.

What do you guys think? Do you play with blood splats on? Do you use a HUD config that puts the HP bar in the centre?

I spent 2 minutes putting my health, cooldowns and timers in the middle of my screen so I never ever need to look elsewhere. Not having centered health in an fps like this is a pretty huge downside.

I would find it extremely irritating when my crosshair changes its colours. But hey, as log as I can deactivate it, others might like it.

Yeah, I just have blood effects on to remind me to look at my health bar and my health directly under my crosshair, but I specifically colored my crosshair green so that I didn’t lose it while trying to shoot someone.

I got used to the default setup with the blood and watching my health bar out of the corner of my eye.

just change hud, thats the best option for now. It would be too irritating to me, but i i could disable it

I turn it off because I need to see things around corners.

I used the dot crosshair and it’s so small that I honestly don’t think I could tell if it changed colors. So I’ll pass but it’s not a bad idea.

Can you post a screenshot if possible? Curious to see how you’ve laid it out. I’ve been playing around with this

Rough thinking here is that the health and minimap are things I want to be aware of without having to look to the extremes of the screen. I still find myself overextending at times where I should be slowing down, but not nearly as bad as the default+no blood splats

This idea. I’m not sure if I would like it or not but it would be interesting.

This could very easily be done with an SDK. If only…
