ive followed LDR instructions for making health and ammo cabinets and they look and work great but no icon on command map just a back and yellow square.Ive looked at goldrush and as far as I can tell its done the same.do I need to specify a cusomimage for it to work??it doesnt seem like I should according to the threads ive read. help ive tried everything
:banghead: :???:
health and ammo icon not showing on command map? wtf?

I figured it out dudes!you have to set customimage AND set spawnflags for TOI brush for axis only and for allied only.
Makes no sense to me but it works. Why this inst in the LDR I dont know.
Ummm I will double check this and create a Health/Ammo Cabinet. If the LDR is wrong then it certainly needs to be fixed. Will be back with an answer.

:moo:
i’ve tried it and it doesnt appear with the LDR way. I took a look at goldrush and they do it jerky’s way and it seem to work.
I’ve also tried only setting the spawnflag with the is_axis/is_allied objective but that just puts an orange and black square on the command map.
Another thing I havent found on LDR: what are the general circumstances where you need a misc_commandmap_marker (like the ammo cabinet) and when you dont (like the command post). Any rule on that?
Thanks
lol … my problem is setting WORKING cabinest, my cabinets are always empty
help
did you put a trigger_heal over the health cabinet model and a trigger_ammo over the ammo cabinet?
if not, draw a cube over the health cabinet with the texture common/trigger, right click and make it a trigger_heal
press ‘n’
add the following keys : values:
healthrate : 20 (wich is the value of a normal health pack per seconds)
healtotal : 480 (that means there are gonna be 24 packs on the cabinet, 0 for infinite)
targetname : trigger_cbhealth (or whatever name you want to give him)
scriptname : trigger_cbhealth (i dont think it is necessary but I believe its a good habit to give every entity the same name as their targetname)
classname : trigger_heal (should be already there)
target : cbhealth_model (this has to be the targetname you gave to your cabinet model, an arrow should appear linking both objects)
do another one for the ammo cabinet with pretty much the same kind of keys : values except
ammorate : 1 (number of ammo packs per seconds)
ammototal : 24 (number of packs on cabinet)
give appropriate names and target that to the ammo cab model
you need clip brushes so you cant walk through the cabinets and a trigger_obj_info but maybe you already have those
You don’t have to put in the keys:
healrate / ammorate
and:
healtotal / ammototal
I think there are default values.
And the triggerbrushes have to be a little bit larger then the models.
