Healing station recharge

Should deployable items recharge while placed? While a Deployable is placed, specifically the health station the ability continues to recharge allowing it to essentially be ready 100% of the time. This makes destroying a health station have minimal impact on the medic who placed it, and gives the team who destroyed it little time push forward before another one is place. Maybe not for ammo stations or the turret but auras health station is completely game changing as it gives constant healing without a need to recharge in between heals. If an auras health station is destroyed she should not be able to immediately replace it without giving the attacks time to a push.

Reducing the healing stations recharge time to 20 seconds and causing it to only recharge once destroyed or reclaimed would help fix this problem. It would also be necessary to add a button to destroy your healing station if you wanted to place a new one without reclaiming it. Would this make sense or would it be bad like the rest of my ideas(according to the forums).

Let’s not make Aura less relevant than she is outside pubs please, there are plenty of ways to deal with healing station parties

Pubs are as much a part of the game as comp though. At least in its current state.

I definitely would prefer a shorter recharge that only starts once the healing station is deployed. If this leaves Aura too underpowered I’d look to buff her in other ways.

If a healing station is giving you that much trouble in pubs, please refer back to the latter part of my post

Right now the problem is that if you destroy her healing station and she survives most of the time she will just replace it with a new one right away. I think it could be interesting if the cool down freezes as long as she has one on the field. This would make Aura players care more about their stations.
If this change would be made the cool down should be a lot quicker. I don’t have exact numbers since I prefer Sawbonez, but like 30-50% less cool down would be okay I guess?

Aura is one of the two free mercs in the game, who can carry the team hard if used properly. If you put the healing station on a wrong spot, its completely useless. If you don’t, you give great support to the whole team.

I would not touch it at all. Keep as it is. Aura and Skyhammer is a good school for newbies. Let them learn that its important to toss those heals and mags.

Just because people are clueless and are fighting enemies sitting on top of healing stations, does not mean the healing station needs a nerf.
