Heal me quick chat?

Just wondering if there’s be any merit in a heal me quick chat, as my teammates think I’m weird for spamming medic when I’m alive :confused:

Yes, call for a medic if you need one. Even if you are still alive. If I see that I will be looking out for who needs me when I am playing a medic. Just don’t spam it when you have 80% health or something.

As for a separate heal me one, more clutter and not necessary. Calling for a medic just means you need the attention of one, dead or alive.

A good medic should be looking out for those calls and healing if necessary, it’s their job and it’s why that vsay exists in the first place.

The problem is there needs to be notifications on the screen or something of more knowledge! They show you were the medkits/ammo are if theyre on the ground but when you’re playing medic it doesn’t show who is calling for medic unless they’re already really low on health. Correct me if im wrong.

Yeah I guess it would be more useful for new players, especially for new players. I think if your above about 40 - 50% health the symbol above your head disappears, though you can still die pretty easily. Especially useful if you have to go and find the medic.

To be honest i never watch the chat when alive with so much going on, if you really want to get the attention of a medic. Use your mic.

This is why I preferred the RtCW/ET compass as opposed to the DB mini-map. Requests showed direction and scaled in size depending on distance, a request to heal was a medic icon and a request for revive was a syringe. Am I the only one that never looks at the mini-map?

Yeah I never do either. Maybe they should just show the symbol above your head no matter what your health is if you use quick chat. For ammo too.

As @Grim said I also do not watch the chat for medic requests. But the audible yell gives an good indication of originating direction for me to react to an call. Which is quite useful.

I don’t play medic a whole lot, but 90% of the time I’m scanning around to see hp bars on team mates to see who needs a pack. Since the new rotation I’ve been playing sawbones a lot, the only thing that irks me is the people who mic spam medic over and over.
