Hay now, it’s just the second thing on my priority list after hit sound feedback killing skill :).
HeadShot sound.
Fair point and while I like a great deal about these older games, I would agree that aspects such as these are an improvement in many respects.
However, many developers appear to have trouble with consistency and it is this factor which at least for me, causes considerable frustration.
For example, we are able to shoot through walls A & B, yet when we reach walls C & D apparently made of the same material, no rounds would seem to penetrate them.
A lack of consistency when playing fps games can be frustrating and appears to trouble many of the new-wave of ‘realistic’ shooters.
This same inconsistency often also applies to obstacles and debris. Much of which should be easy to climb or mantle, but which for some unspecified reason acts instead as a defined block.
Who knows why…?
Yea, that stuff can get pretty annoying.
Talking about being realistic, Splash Damage have just confirmed that the Dirtybomb full body suit will be needed to play. It immitates what its like to be shot. It comes with several health warnings and is only £999.99. People should think of buying this as it wouldn’t be realistic enough without it there fore SD are forcing this bodysuit!
I would seriously buy this!
Although here is a cheaper solution: http://forums.warchest.com/showthread.php/36306-game-controller?p=449939&viewfull=1#post449939
ETQW had a nice future with the hitsounds,
You could choose to only hear headshoot sounds, or both bodyshootsounds and headshootsounds.
And for those who did not like the sounds, could use a future that made the xhair “show” that you hit the enemy or teammate
… da fuq ?
i didnt say ctrl+c then ctrl+v but i want to hear different hitbox sounds, so next time i can aim correctly :)
Has SD ever done a game where you had no distinctive hitbox sounds ? lol
