Did I ever tell you about how I met my hero?
It was at a underground science facility that specialised in creating a new kind of power armour using the latest gadgets while also being incredible durable, it was going to be a masterpiece…
It was on that day that the explosions started happening… The facility is very deep underground so it was very faint at first so we thought nothing of it, but it just kept getting louder and louder, I remember crawling under my desk thinking it was an earthquake while the security force rallies together to find what’s causing it.
“EAT PINEAPPLE!”
Another explosion and what’s left of our security force was launched past the door frame, are we getting invaded? who are those people? how did they find this place?! Explosions were happening all around me, cries and screams filled the air, I quickly grabbed what I could and ran to the nearest fire exit.
“GREEENNAAAADA!”
I bolted up the stairs and could see the ray of light coming from outside, I was going to make it!! I took one step outside… just to get greeted by the backup team… I was forced onto the ground as they heckled me, treated me like I wasn’t human and for some reason started coughing at each other?
I had accepted my fate at this point, I closed my eyes and waited for the inevitable gun shot, heh, it felt like was the longest moment of my life.
BANG
…Am I…Dead…? I reluctantly open my eyes to see a man standing above me with giant piece of scrap metal shielding me, he takes out all of the gunmen but ends up losing his arm with bullet wounds all over his body, I was getting very light headed at this point but I mustered enough strength to demand a name, a name from my saviour!
He looked over his shoulder with a large grin and with his thumbs up and yelled
“I LIKE TURTLES!”
I…I think he has a concussion… My last moments of being conscious that day was watching him hobble away towards the sunset. I’m sure I will see him again someday though, I know I will, and when that day comes.
