HD Texture Pack???

(PixelTwitch) #1

Hello Guys,

So we all know that Dirty Bomb does really not look to bad. For the most part what it lacks in graphical fidelity it makes up for in style. That said, I would still like to see a HD Texture pack that could be added via the Steam DLC functionality (like what happened with Sleeping Dogs back in the day). I feel every texture in the game could quite easily be doubled in resolution to bring it closer to the modern day fidelity we are starting to get used to. Doing this via the Steam DLC system means that only the people that choose to download the extra textures would need to do so.

I find that when monitoring my graphics card, no at a lot of my memory is being used (infact only around 30% of my GTX 980 is being used overall). What do you guys think?

Cheers.

Well, it can’t hurt.

If it isn’t too much effort for them, I see no downside to this.

Why not.

I think integration with the steam workshop would be really nice, if it’s not planned already? I am sure the community would love to develop anything from maps to items. I am not sure how easy it is to add that support though.

As for the textures a HD pack would be really nice, but not at the expense of getting other things sorted first. The game looks and feels really nice to me.

Let’s call it UE4 based dirty bomb ?
Modding is always an issue on steam based games. Depending on how are the game editor feelings to steam basically. Nexon feel pretty close to steam (cs zombies or whatever…), so let’s hope they could allow some workshop stuff.

mehh should be really low priority but if they got everything else on the list and are bored why not.

Dude, this is a GREAT idea, but as i think you know the game is still in beta. i think the devs want to make sure the game is as bug-free as possable, they want to perfect the maps and items and mercs to be as balanced as possable before any more graphics upgrades, because the game already looks sweet. yes i agree the texture could be increased in res, but also i think if enough people want this, maybe i can make a higher res texture pack type thing that can be downloaded from your browser and manually put into the game files. but only if enough people want this, also add me on steam and msg me saying you want this. is 20+ people contact me then i will start work on it asap.
