Give this a try. All you have to do is:
Go to File Explorer.
C:\Users\Your-user-name\Documents\My Games\UnrealEngine3\ShooterGame\Config
Once there, create copy of file “ShooterEngine”. How, make a new folder in here:
C:\Users\LIEN\Documents\My Games\UnrealEngine3\ShooterGame
Name it backup, now paste the “ShooterEngine” file into there.
Go back to:
C:\Users\Your-user-name\Documents\My Games\UnrealEngine3\ShooterGame\Config
Then open “ShooterEngine”. How? Right click it, then “Open with” “Notepad”.
Delete everything in there. Once done.
Go to link the link to the config you want to use. Then copy it by clicking fork once and copying it from there.
Once done, you want to paste it into the file “ShooterEngine”.
Alright once you do all this, open “ShooterEngine” back up. Then click “Edit” then “Find”. Once you do that. Search “Fullscreen”. If you want it keep it “True”, if not replace it with “False.” Then search “resx”, and “resx”. Change it to what you like. Then search “Framerate”. It should say “True” next to it. You want to change it to what your computer FPS refresh.
Now that you did all this. Close and save. Set it to “Read Only”. By right clicking on “ShooterEngine”, and choose “Properties”, which should be the last one and look towards the bottom and you’ll see “Read-only”. Click it and close.
This next step is mostly for users using Laptops.
Got to “Power” icon which is should be in the right bottom corner. If you don’t see it, click the arrow that’s point up. Looks kinda like a triangle filled shape with white. Once you find it. Right click ti and go to “Power Options”. Choose “High performance”. If you don’t see it there. Go to “Change plan settings”. Then to “Change advanced power settings”. And from there there should be at the top under “Change settings that are currently unavailable”. Click it. And it should pop up with different options. Choose “High performance”.
Useless info:
You are now officially done and it should help you by a ton lot. My fps used to be 5 to 30 fps maxed. And it would be always dropping a lot. This now could up your K/D and score by 1k, 2k, 3k, 4k, because you are now facing FPS that isn’t dropping constantly and can play with ease. IF this doesn’t work, then…I have failed you.
But it should work, because it did for me!
