Haven't been able to play a single online match

Well, at least not real online. I can do co-op with friends, but anytime I try to actually play against other people the lag is just unbearable. I think I’ve gotten maybe 10 seconds of lag free gameplay in my many attempts to actually play the game online. Is there any planned fix for this lag? The game is awesome, it’s just that I can’t really play it!

They know about it, and of course they plan to fix it :slight_smile:

I read somewhere that they’re working on it. In the meantime, try switching the match settings to “Old Skool” (in the menu that pops up after choosing Free Play).

There seems to be less lag and - big bonus! - no bots

Find a good host, or play a playlist with less people. I have come across a few really laggy games, but I’ve also played against some incredibly crisp games that felt really good.

I’m going to give them a week or two to iron things out. After that it will be traded in. The core game is awesome and a ton of fun, but whenthe bots are horrid and finding a good host isn’t worth the struggle, it’s pretty sad. When I get a game day 1 I expect it to at least be playable online, especially when the focus of the game is on multiplayer. To me this is inexcusable and obviously they released game with an unfinished netcode. Hope they get their **** together, because the game is fun.

Thanks for the heads up on the “less” likely to lag game modes, will try it out tomorrow.
