9 Months ago a guy on reddit tested a few augments and discovered that potent packs on aura has no effect. It’s been brought up again multiple times on reddit ([url=“http://www.reddit.com/r/Dirtybomb/comments/5zcguh/got_this_aura_question_about_potent_packs/”]example) with people re-testing and coming to the same conclusion.
I looked through all the patch notes since gen2 released as well as dev videos and this is never brought up. Has Splash ever mentioned being aware/working on this? It leads to misinformed loadout choices by those not brought into the know by friends or reddit and makes the only difference between the iron and bronze R42 the skin, I thought only silver+ were just cosmetic differences.
Has Splash ever mentioned working on fixing potent packs on Aura?
why im still falling for aura potent packs meme
@stayfreshshoe pls fix!
Honestly it feels like the devs have completely forgotten Aura exists. She has so many bugs that no one even seems to mention.
The med station inconsistently receiving melee damage with certain weapons, Arty’s Airstrike being able to destroy the med station at a larger range when the station has healing reach (even through walls), etc.

Oh? I thought this was a feature, like air strikes are supposed to counter stations because it kills them through walls and such.
There’s quite a few bugs that we should remind them about. Things like Kira’s laser getting stuck or Redeye’s spotting not always working properly.
In June is the start of summer. Dare I say Summer Squash 4, 5, 6 to fix all the new and good old bugs.

Being destroyed through walls, maybe. I can understand it if that was intentional, but what I was referring to is how the airstrike looks for the med station’s healing radius, not the actual med station.
So if the Aura has Healing Reach, her med station can be destroyed when it’s significantly further away from the airstrike, compared to a standard med station.

Many have learned through experience.
How exactly would they fix it?
By nerfing the Healing Stations default healing rate so it no longer allows you to tank damage? So the only way you can is with potent packs?

Hmm what, no, they would fix it by making potent packs work…
Instead of 10hp/second on the healing station it should be 12hp/second.
I actually didn’t know this wasn’t working, I thought they fixed it during the summer bugs stuff… 0.o
Hey, at least we don’t have aura healing stuff going through walls and stuff… right? Crap, maybe it still does…
Hmm. Thought H71 was best Potent Pack loadout for her.
Now there is a clear reason why R73 is the best for her…
36 HPS during combat might be… a bit balance breaking, but I’ll see what it’s like when this bug is fixed.
Seems really sweet with Thunder. ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
yeah… :’(
Healing and ammo stations being destroyed through walls needs to be fixed. Still happens in buildings on trainyard, chapel garage, and plenty of other places when air support lands overhead. EV delivery area on chapel is debatable since the cover there is hit or miss.
I think I’d rather see the base health tick reduced than the potent packs tick increased over the current rate.

I’m an Aura main, lol. You notice these things after around 300+ hours, and my med station is definitely more easily destroyed with healing reach. Sucks, because it can be very useful on some maps, but using them on EV maps that are bound to have a lot of airstrikes is just hell.

nono, i mean did SD has released statement about this?
we basically have 1 non functioning augment and a weird functioning augment.
why did stoker get fixed but this isnt?

Probably because it isn’t really reported on. Aura doesn’t seem like a very popular character outside of lower levels, whereas Stoker is heavily played by more experienced players, the same players who report bugs. I haven’t heard SD mention anything about it either, although that doesn’t mean they don’t know of it.
And granted it’s not as noticeable as other bugs, like the molotov’s uselessness and disappearing deployables. Can’t fix a bug if no one notices it, lol.
It seems they very rarely acknowledge bugs until they fix them though, so you never know.
Aura is my favorite merc, but playing against her is weird. Arty strikes just… work oddly, and as @pinny0101 said, melee on it is super broken

Aura is considered very good at the top and Stoker is rather situational. Just load up any DBNation vod, Auras errywhere.

She’s still not used as much on average from what I’ve seen. Like I said, most players drop her as they progress. Doesn’t mean all do
