Hard to swim thru/get out of water

Hi!
I made a (cellar) room with a stair. I filled it with Oasis water (the texture was called siwa 2 something). The water covers almost all the steps; it is possible to walk on the top step (and go up onto a plattform).
The problem: The character (in game) has a hard time getting up from the water and onto the top step. The game acts funny, when I try to walk up. The image shakes, and I have to press “jump” repeatedly to get up.
I have applied clip brushes to the stair (the steps, to make walking easy).
Hm, anyone else have had waterproblems, getting out of it I mean?
I will try lowering the water and other tricks later. Hope it will work. (I will make a ladder, if nothing else works.) It is NOT possible to ignore the problem as it is, because it is really hard to get out of the water.

PS. The water can be drained by one team, if they repair a nearby pump. Then this problem with the “getting out of the water” will vanish. But, the pump is destroyable - so the problem will come back. :confused:

Hmmm, well since the q3engine pyhsics are pretty sharp, I tend to doubt that it would be a problem related SOLEY to the code…

I would think its something more on the lines of a combonation of the location of the brushwork in relation to the “get-up-and-out-of-the-water” part of the code. The code is prolly recognizing a little bit of the “get-up-and-out-of-the-water”, but not enough to pull you completely out (due to something with the brushwork)…

My suggestion would be to tweak a few of those stairs if possible to create taller “get-out-of-water” code points. If this is not an option, then take out the stairs and put in a jumppad!
