Halp! Fragger vs Nader compare.

I have played both mercs and have some questions.

Are both mercs grenades doing the same amount of damage?

What are pros/cons of these two mercs?

My observation was Nader’s grenades regenerate alot faster than Fragger’s grenades. Nader holds 5 grenades over Fragger’s 2.

Nader’s can be avoided much more easily with their fixed fuse time…fragger can cook off his nades so they explode exactly when he wants. Also fragger gets a ton more health and ARs

Fragger can instagib all mercs with his nades (completely with the “Finish” part) Nader’s nades do 90 damage if I recall.

Fragger fills a middle ground between Nader and Rhino, his assault rifles and K-121 let him reach at larger ranges Nader and Rhino normally can’t cover and more damage than their primaries., but aren’t as effective as Rhinos minigun at close range or Nader’s launcher in farther ranges but he doesn’t have to worry about winding his primaries up like a minigun or having just 5 shots.
His grenades can be cooked for closer ranges, making them hard to avoid, along with their 150 damage, makes them great close range player slayers, but suffer in larger cool down time, but due to his weaponry you’re not completely dependant on them and their wait time isn’t all that annoying.

Nader lacks health but makes it up for it in speed and higher rate of fire, close range smgs and pistols, her grenades are more about long range bombardment, they lack damage but make it up in quantity and quicker cooldown recover, making her grenade launcher serve more like her primary weapon, she isn’t as tanky but can deal more damage with grenade salvos and martyrdoming unsuspecting players.

Rhino lacks mobility and his shotguns are basically a different way of damage dealing compared to SMGs, he lacks anyway to do indirect damage, forcing him to soak up damage for his teammates, his Minigun covers the exact opposite of Nader’s grenade launcher, being mostly effective at close range but can do some damage at mid-long range by tapping lightly with the minigun, and he is the easiest to predict due to his minigun’s wind up noise, compared to Nader only noise of grenades being shot and Fragger’s beeping grenades and his “Frag Out!” Cry (which he does after the grenades explode…)

Finally: RHINO and NADER tend to be reliant on their special weapons, unless on the move as Rhino in the open, or in the move as Nader indoors, Fragger covers both these extremes well with his LMG and Rifles, but it is best to save his grenades to toss into bottles necks where enemies are all together.

No.

Nader’s do 70 damage (75?) unless they score a direct hit, then they do 90.

Fragger’s nades do 150 damage.

Naders grenades do 75 splash and 90 direct have a 1.4 sec. fuse that can’t be tampered with and have a inner radius of 32 units (Area of 75 damage) and an outer radius of 192.

Fraggers grenades do 150 splash have a 3 sec. fuse that can be shortend through cooking the nade and has a inner radius of 50 units and an outer radius of 240.

Notable Naders nades can’t kill and gib at the same time. Fraggers will gib if you are close enough to the center of the explosion.
Because of the fixed fuse Naders grenades are most of the time fairly easy to dodge while a good fragger can reduce the fuse to a point where it will explode directly in your face.

Another point Naders Martyrdom uses a Fragger grenade with a fixed 0,9 sec fuse time.

In general Nader faster/less HP making her more mobile. Grenadelauncher good for area denial and clearing out enemy defensive positions/deployables. A direct hit will kill fast squishies before you have to deal with their shotgun and soften up higher HP Mercs and give you even footing in a 1 on 1.

Fragger The champ of direct confrontations. Throw a good Frag grenade into a group of enemies 1-3 will die instantly and you are still strong enough to kill the rest. Strong primary weapons and a good amount of HP. Good on his own a monster if he gets good medical attention and gun food.

To be honest, Fragger has a much higher skill floor and skill ceiling. Nader is great for starters, but honestly at higher levels is kind of unskilled. Stick to Fragger, he’s a far more effective combat class, as stated before between Rhino and Nader in terms of niche spot.

Anyway, Fragger is much better for 1v(insert any number here) as he truly is a “player-slayer” with those OHK no reaction time allowed pineapples (even though they really aren’t MkII fragmentation, but I’ll let the dev off for that inconsistency) and some of the hardest hitting weapons in the game including the GPMG he can get (I’m not sure if :not:M4 or :not:HK-21 are really much better than the other).

Nader has some great weapons at her disposal but is very much an area of denial sort of character. Her grenades can be shot in extended volleys to suppress the enemy and her Martyrdom when done correctly is great for denying corners or C4 plants. Other than that she really is not as viable as Fragger. She is however, just more consistent with her fast grenade CD.
