PrimaryAbility - HaloRestorer

Effect - Designates a 3.8m radius ring that heals everyone in the ring (similar to phoenix). However, the ring grants more health per person in ring, and also has increased cooldown per person. If you are in the ring, you count as an individual person. However, the additive effect of health and cooldown does not work. (meaning if u and a teammate are in the ring, you both get 30 not 60, and it will still be 4 seconds)

Designation range - 4.4m
Delay (1) (Time to designate) - .33 seconds
Delay (2) (time until effect) - .66 seconds

Health Provided per ally - +30hp (base is 30)
Cooldown Per Ally - +4 seconds (base is 4)

Secondary Ability - PlasmaTeatherRefib

Fires an electric beam that acts just like a refib (similar to sparks, can be charged and released), does no damage. Also teammate is invincible in the actual revive animation (so cant be gibbed when animating up).

Max Revive Range - 1m

Interesting idea, but the Halo ability seems a bit too complicated for DB. In a moba type game it might fit, but considering DB’s most complicated ability is throwing ammo packs at teammates to reduce cooldown, it might not work that well here.
Plus trying to execute it would be a pain in the ass, especially in PUBs. You already have to chase around people as Phoenix, chasing multiple isn’t great either lol. Not to mention not having direct control over the cooldown of your ability could throw off some higher level players if a teammate runs up behind you while you try to heal a single person. It’s especially bad if you have an unavoidable delay of .33 seconds before you can heal someone, whereas phoenix can hold a charge until the time is right.

Also with any decent medic, it’s extremely easy to revive a teammate before they can ever hit the ground. Allowing enemies to finish off a teammate is what prevents a decent medic from effectively making their team immortal. This applies even more to ranged medics, who only need a line of sight. While removing revive mortality might not affect low level play, it would be horrible when played by any half decent medic.

Ultimately it’s not a bad idea, but for DB it’s a bit too complicated. It would also make Sparks effectively useless in comparison as long as he didn’t have machine pistols as primaries, and his halo ability would just be a more cumbersome healing pulse.

EDIT: Just noticed the max revive range, but still. With a fast 110 HP merc, it’s easy to rush in and revive someone before they hit the ground

I don’t know, having an ability that is dependent on a lot of other people, not the merc itself, doesn’t sound like the best idea. So many things could go wrong that it just wouldn’t be fun playing as Halo, it would get really frustrating.

What if instead of the designate delay, it was chargable such as phoenix, but instead of his fluid hold until release, you charged it in ticks (such as every second is +30 hp, and +4 seconds)

Imo it shouldnt be to complicated, the mechanics listed are just adaptable artillery strike.
As for the revive, i just wanted something unique for a revive. I could remove it tho if its too much of a problem

Also gotta consider balance with having a longer range AOE heal and a literal god taser gun. Defib paddles are better suited for him really. Get him to keep moving to Also having a designated healing blast for a flat healing amount, not this gradual healing per person hit thing because that is just too confusing, could be a cool idea though, kinda like the revive glove that guardian has but for healing instead. Probably would be better to lift and modify that to heal instead of reviving. Could even be some sort of healing grenade that needs to stop moving before it activates.

And yeah, if you are a good medic you will make sure to be on your ally the moment he gets downed. So the effect where you can’t be gibbed the moment you get hit is pretty OP really.
