Just asking in help of Badman. Tell me below if you’ve had problems finding a game or not.

Nope not recently. In fact it’s been harder to pull host. Theoretically due to the fact that more games are running on more maps. However, Deus Ex has severely side tracked me due to being a great game in and of itself and all the nostalgia of when I was gaming at a much younger age.

*On 360 btw

I played (xbox) during the weekend and on Friday, and matches were full the majority of time or filled up relatively quickly. Usually I was playing in a party of 3 or 4. It was fun. Some matches were close. We lost a few and won a bunch.

Great! Had any troubles playing with skilled players.

Played on xbox the other day. Got put in a 7v3 match and quit after seeing that it was a lost cause. Tried my luck again only to be put in the same match. Tried a 3rd time with the same result. Then I switched games because I did not feel like being put in the same match for a 4th time in a row.

Anyone had more luck than me?

I’ve been casually playing Deus Ex at my GF’s house. She bought it on the 360 instead of the PS3 because she knew it would make me happier. It’s a fun game, but my god, going for a no-kill run is going to be hell. I found out AFTER I started that even before you get augmented, you cannot kill anyone.

That Sec tower match was epic. The best part was when they got Nechayev through the gate into the fenced area and we kept him locked down after that. Usually when he gets to that point the match is over because he’ll get moved one way or another.

Don’t give up. Just because a game is 7v3 doesn’t mean anything. Sometimes the best games are the ones where you’re outnumbered. If you wan’t a better experience, add some of us to your friendslist. When I’m playing Brink you can usually find me playing with Wolf or Neph from here, or a few others I know. Sometimes we all end up in the same party. The Close game Wolf and I had the other day is one of those games that we were outnumbered (I think it was 8v5 o something like that), and we pulled it off. Having people to play and strategize with makes the game way more enjoyable.

Played with some friends last night in Campaign on Hard. We did the Resistance side first. Man, oh Man, I forgot how beastly Hard the Bots can be! At one point on Sec Tow I had the delivery case and jumped down from the hack room. There was one bot to beat, and he was looking the other way. So I ran at him and blasted away. Now, I was POSITIVE that I’d just leave him in my wake, but he lifts his shotgun, real slow-like, and I don’t even see the bullet come out: I was INSTANTANEOUSLY in the respawn. No downed and waiting for a revive. Just instant death! After that, I started playing dirty too!

Aw man. There goes my “no kills” run :stuck_out_tongue: Oh well… guess I’ll just have to play it again once I finish. I was going to go the cyber combat route next (typhoon + all combat & shooting augs). At some point I’ll also go for the “Foxiest of foxes” achievement so I’ll probably piggyback the “no kills” onto that (going pure steal then).
It truly is an epic epic game.

On topic: PC is easy to find games (EU - just server browse and there are normally a few up with players in). Keeping a stable team is another story though. Lots of people drop out if they’re on the losing side and noone ever tries to even out an imbalanced team setup by switching around. They’d rather have an easy steamroller than 2 evenly matched sides I guess. Makes for some very frustrating and weak games. If it’s “one of those” days I just stop playing.
Community needs to get bigger or else the game will wither and die at this point. I already find myself playing a lot less simply because it’s difficult finding a good game that rolls on and on through the maps.
By contrast TF2: it’s difficult getting into some servers because people refuse to leave for hours on end because they’re having so much fun (and the team balancing shuffling people around helps I think).

I kick around and play private matches by myself sometimes just to un-wind. I can try stuff like wall bounces and experiment with guns without worrying about the outcome. Because the bots are unselfish, they give you buffs and stuff so you can test out the effectiveness of abilities and upgrades on each weapon and in different circumstances. The overall performance is smoother too because there’s no lag and other people chatting away in my ear. Also, its an opportunity to take in the surrounding environments. Maybe Brink becomes one of those If it Only had more Episodes kind of thing like Firefly. But in the meantime, I just figure out ways to find interesting things to do in it to keep it fresh.

Yeah I’m doing my first run through now, of course on Give Me Deus Ex or Hard mode as it were. Therefore, I’m just going for completion this time around. Those guards kill you quick on that mode so I have a fully decked out 10mm Pistol (Silencer, dmg, rate of fire, burst fire, and laser sight) and go for head shots. I’m like 75% of the way through. Also worth mentioning if you have a 2ndary quest and move on to the next part of the story by taking the chopper you will lose that quest and the ability to complete it regardless of whether or not you come back to that area. I missed one achievement due to this the other day. All in all, an absolutely awesome game that really pulled from the original while still pushing it forward to modern day gaming.

I get no one when searching from Japan on PS3.
I feel like it cuts me off just because of my region and not my ping. I always join on American friends, or play in private matches with Americans, and it plays very smooth. I usually get close to a full bar.
It also doesn’t help that the Japanese version of the game (I’m using the North American version) has isolated multiplayer, which doesn’t make sense since the general Asian version is with the rest of the world. The guys with the Japanese version say they can’t get games either, so I’m sure they would be happy if their isolation was disabled and they could play with the rest of the world.
