Hacks doing whatever they want?

So, I’ve been playing this game for only a few days and I love it. There is just one tiny issue: cheaters.
There are two players (DELETED) who have been playing with cheats freely for days in SM servers. They go into the match, instakill every enemy they even look at until most of the other team simply leaves the game (new players keep coming, so they don’t have to worry about the game ending).

They have been doing this for days. They do this all night long and I alone must have reported them over 10 times. I’m pretty sure others have done so too.

When I confronted one of them, he simply said he didn’t give a shit because it’s only a game and since it doesn’t have VAC, his steam account (which is his original account) will never be banned or punished.

Since there are no other ways to report players and I’m losing faith on the ingame report system, I’ve come here to put this problem on the table.

Does the anti-cheat engine work? Did other players have been banned before for cheating? What is done to prevent these things from happening again?

Not sure if this is even the right place to talk about it, but I guess it can turn into a nice discussion.

Thank you for your attention, sorry for the bad english. Never had any classes.

Please do not name and shame on the forums. This is not a place to report hackers.

Yes, NGS anti-cheat is working. However every legal anti-cheat in existence is reactive and not proactive due to numerous privacy laws in a number of countries. If the program they are using hasn’t been detected yet then the ban isn’t automatic. Players need to report the user.

You did the right thing by reporting them in game. Please encourage other players to do the same. If for some reason you don’t believe that in game reporting is enough you can submit a ticket directly to Nexon support. The people(GM_Radrodo) who answer the tickets will be able to investigate and ban the user if necessary.

I am going to close this thread now. Thanks!
