Hackers?

(HairyCarrot) #1

I caught video evidence of a guy online hacking and I have no idea where to post it…

Normally the best way to report people is through the in-game option from the scoreboard. You can also report people with a video link to https://support-dirtybomb.nexon.net/hc/en-us as well.

Doesn’t work always. Yesterday I caught a hacker like every other hacker before except this time we couldn’t interact to bring up the ingame menu at all, only on his particular name in the scorecard. So no kick, no Steam, no report, no nothing.

I always use the external support link as mentioned to report with a video.

I’ve never had that happen to me before. That’s pretty weird. @NxA_Noxie might want to know about that.

(NxA_Noxie) #5

Yeah, I’ve never heard of that before either gonna check it out - also if you can’t use the in game button to report someone you can contact customer support!

I’ve had it happen to me multiple times when the match has ended and it is showing the player’s scores where I cannot bring up the menu for anyone to check out their steam profile/mute etc.

Not sure if this is always the case at end game or not as I rarely try it.

Open steam window, click on view > players and search for the guy. Open his profile, and voilá you have the cheater.

I have had times that you can’t right click any names on the scoreboard and then it breaks the steam overlay until it decides to all work at once.

Well I know his name and I have video evidence so what can I do to get this guy banned?

But there is no where to post a video or report somone without being in their game. Can I just link a youtube video and tag a dev or??

Do what has already said below…
For “report abuse” (i think…).

I’m South America server player, i never spotted a cheater, since the game isn’t popular and even has Ranked Games servers.

No, you can’t as this forum does not allow that. Use the support link that I linked above to create a support ticket which allows you to include the video if you want.

Here is the exact link you need. https://support-dirtybomb.nexon.net/hc/en-us/requests/new

Yeah I tried to use the link to report and upload a video. Does a fabulous job of hanging/timing out.

I probably should have recorded it, but about a week ago, I joined a game with some guy who couldn’t be kicked. The other team said the vote passed, yet he didn’t get kicked. I’ve seen this before in another F2P game, AVA. You can get an “anti-kick” hack so no one can kick you and their only option is to leave the game.

I was still able to report the player though. I actually asked him legitimately, why he would hack in a game like Dirty Bomb where there’s no bonus to hacking: very little extra currency (currency can be earned easily through normal play, no extra items, no special rewards, leveling isn’t needed and hacking won’t even get it that fast, etc. He told me straight up it’s because he enjoys playing with scripts and coding. Apparently he was just testing his stuff out. His Steam account was level 12 so I thought he only had 1, but he also said he has like 30 accounts haha. Seems all a bit exaggerated, but I guess that might explain why some people hack in DB…

Pff expert hackers having around 100 accounts in steam, so they don’t care about you report or kick they just come back with a different account in gameplay.

@Havik_Gaming I tried to repot him a long time ago and I understand that it ruins the game but you know what they say if you can’t beat them join them, and I just wanted to apologize for playing comp. with him and I wont do it ever again. I am deeply sorry and I understand that it ruins the game. By the way its me sparkybum idk why I made my name this.
