So I have played around 70 hours of Dirty Bomb so far and have noticed a great amount of hackers. Since this is game is made from people other than Valve, I assumed it would be better with their anti-cheat system, but I haven’t seen anything yet. So far in Open Beta, which is VERY early in the game, I have had an aim-botter in 90% of my competitive games, basically making the game unplayable. I have played 1400 hours of CsGO and I thought that was bad, but I have been corrected. This post isn’t to make anyone upset, but I was wondering if there was any information on upcoming updates that would take place to increase the amount of bans going around? I actually like this game and would like to go far in it. Any comments would be appreciated
Hackers in Competitive
Sounds like you’ve got some bad luck. I’ve played 17 comp games and 2 of them were against a cheater. Maybe I’m just lucky. :p. I’ve heard they’re working on getting a new anti cheat up and running, but all we can do is wait :).
I agree the hackers are the single greatest threat this game has to succeeding, and so far the response leaves much to be desired. I truly love Dirty Bomb and have played 70+ hours just like the OP and I want it to go far but hackers crush my spirits.
It depends what rank you are, I am Gold 4 at the moment, and most queues with my friends, there is a cheater on the other team who lands constant headshots. I know they are cheating believe me. I’m not some noob saying they are hacking because I lose to them haha, I have plenty of experience with FPS
A lot of us start off on Gold 4 so I’m pretty sure it’s average. Myself and many other friends started on gold 4. It takes awhile to rank up as well because I haven’t lost a comp match since I got ranked (7 wins since ranked at gold 4) and im still Gold 4. Unless they’re playing Rhino sniping you across the map with instant death from his mini gun or 100% headshots you shouldn’t call someone a cheater until you have actual proof.
Just gonna say right now that this is the first and only post in this thread I have read. But I’m pretty damn interested now, if you have proof of something lets see it.
okay go to twitch.tv/wolfCS96 and watch the latest past broadcast. i played a competitive game, and I said that there is 90% cheaters in matchmaking. First game i play, the hacker is on vasilli. You tell me he isnt cheating rofl.
To get a better game the developpers should not thrust any anti-cheat system ca
cause all is client side in this game, detection hits etc…
A game when all is calculated on the game server side is more and more difficult to hack.
And there is less cheater in those games than all the FPS when data are calculated client side before going to the game server side.
It’s the simplest solution to let the computer of the gamers calculate all those things but iit’s the highway for hackers since the video games exist.

Too bad it’s totally irrelevant in a game with hitscan weapons. If the game can show an enemy player, then any cheat can use that data , regardless of where the actual hit detection takes place.
It’s the same retard, who’s trying to advertise and sell his cheats on youtube, for 10$, lol.
Matchmaking is a joke, and I’d advice doing something more productive than queueing there, like for example: repeatedly slapping your nutsack with a table tennis paddle.

wrong,totally.
Many developpers know that since many years and for many games. You cant’ use aimbot for exemple when all what you see & all what you hit is only allowed by the server game side and not the client game side.
Clearly you have no idea what you’re talking about at all. CS:GO has server side hit reg and aimbots are rampant in that game.
You could suggest only streaming video to a client, but hit registration has nothing to do with aimbots at all.
You guys are terrible… Seriously.
When he relates a problem, you get into the semantics of what a bug is?
Laughable, at best.
I agree that it’s a problem that needs to be addressed, but it should not be on the forefront of what needs to be done. Dealing with hackers as a whole should be more important. Get rid of the majority of them, and we wouldn’t have this problem.
Edit:
Not everyone on this thread, but you know what I mean.

I don’t know what you expect people to say. There’s nothing anyone can do, there’s a no naming/shaming rule so he can’t even link proof really. The devs are aware of the problem so don’t really need to be told, and don’t read these threads anyway. The only thing anyone can do about the issue is wait, unless you have a better idea. So does it really matter what people post in this thread if it’s even slightly related.
So uh… Don’t post?
If you don’t have anything on the topic, I don’t see why you would be here.
Anywho, I wasn’t talking to you
You do not, however, have to get into what a bug is technically.
Edit:
I’m really bad at using you as a general term… You does not mean “you”
