Hackers and fresh steam accounts

Hi guys,

Just wondering how Dirty Bomb tackles hackers, are their IPs banned as well as their steam accounts? Something needs to be done about this if not because every dodgy player I see (that doesn’t make their account private) has only had steam for like 1 month, has only 1 friend, and only dirty bomb is listed as a game.

Take this one for example: REMOVED

Not saying this guy was hacking for sure, this post isn’t supposed to be a “everyone is hacking” rage… but he was wrecking me, so thought I would take a look… he clearly wasn’t new to FPS so the fresh account definitely rang some alarm bells.

Also… his only friend “DELETED” is one of his aliases…

Naming and shaming isn’t allowed on this forum. If you believe somebody was cheating then please use the in-game report function or go to https://support-dirtybomb.nexon.net/hc/en-us and report.

The reason for this is if the guy isn’t cheating you might have just gotten him labeled as one.

Also, IP bans do nothing for people who want to cheat. Most habitual cheaters/trolls know how to easily get a new IP address (and hardware ID bans) so they typically aren’t done. The best thing to do is report a person you suspect. Support can look into it and let them be or remove them depending on what they find. NGS has been pretty quick to update and get cheats removed but anti-cheats by their nature do not prevent cheating. They simply try to catch it and remove the cheat from use. So if you see somebody who you believe is for certain cheating try to vote kick them or simply leave the server and join another one. Don’t let it ruin your night :slight_smile:
