I think a couple people notice that this game is a biiiiit of a graphics hog, so I was thinking that maybe tone down the graphics options so then people have a crappier look on the game, but at least the gameplay would be 20% more awesome
Gwaphics gwaphics gwaphics!
ehh… was just looking at a tweaking post so… still thinking gpu needs some more improvement, planetside 2 was like that… they were trying to help their graphics so that it doesn’t hurt lots of people’s cpu’s… so idk, depends on perspective
I had some strange issue… On high settings (default) I have like 90 to 130 fps. But when I set everything on low (in video settings) I don’t see any fps increase, but I notice that graphics are worse. And no, I didn’t forget to press apply.
I just got a new computer, too bad it’s graphics card can’t handle itself…
I’m playing with old PC intel q9550 @ 3.8GHz, 4GB ram and Radeon 7770. GPU is the most modern piece of that rig. I’m using an extremely low settings config. I monitored usage and temperature of my GPU and CPU while playing DB. Neither was overheating with GPU at around 50 deg max, and CPU hitting 65 at most. GPU was constantly at 99 - 100%. CPU 1 core at 60% rest at about 40%. There’s a lot of room for improvement there. 7770 is by no means a strong GPU but with that cfg DB looked like a game from early 2000 and I was still getting fps drops below 60 even on 7v7 servers. As I mentioned it’s not overheating problem.
Toxikk which runs on the same engine works smoothly, I don’t even have to drop to low details. Blacklight Retribution runs on UE3 as well, it runs smoother than DB as well while looking about as ugly as DB does with my potato cfg.
There’s plenty of room for improvement.
I run a Q8200,it runs warm, but my GTX fan never runs in this game, my lowest rates so far have been 60 -70 FPS
I’ve not played a lot yet, but the gameplay and graphics seem quite smooth. Good to see, in such a fast-moving game.
A friend said he got a config from a guy and now his game runs alot better. Just wait for some high fps cfg leaks
there is a post about it so you probably saw it, I think it’s in guides topic but I am not sure
The game needs optimizations for sure. I have a friends who has an i7-4770k and 2x780Ti and he was complaining about frame drops. I have a i5-2550k @ 4.6 and a 980, haven’t had much problems, but I have had some frame drops, very rare though. Frame drops should not be happening on either of these rigs. And if the game scales bad as well on low end rigs, that’s a huge problem, especially if they want it to be competitive. People should be able to get a stable 120 FPS on low settings with mid range PCs, and 60 FPS on low range PCs.
I was getting about less than 25 fps, sooo I am hoping that I can tweak it so then I can have about 40-50 fps
its not much but I think it will help me
