GW produced some very merc-like miniatures.

Just for aesthetic inspiration.

Games Workshop just released a new set of models that wouldn’t look out of place in XT.

(Runeforce) #2

Not that it matters, but I disagree. XT has a futuristic theme. These models are fantasy inspired. Would look totally out of place IMO.

You’d be right, the gothic trims would look out of place. However some people compare by finding similarities and some compare by finding differences. There’s a lot on these miniatures that would go great on an XT merc.

It wouldn’t be WH40K without the Gothic influence, but that aside I do agree these guys could fit right in.

Laser sniper riffle with power backpack? I’m definitely in

There is some potential there…

Prefer the Kasrkin (stormtrooper) models myself as I have a regiment of them in the loft

(Snotling) #7

Yeah, so do I! Too bad they’re almost impossible to find now… :frowning:

I approve this message

My personal IG regiment is made of the original plastic guardsmen (kind of dating myself there…) but my favorite IG models have to be the Steel Legion. We definitely need a badass merc with a trench coat and gasmask

(warbie) #10

If we’re talking IG, it’s all about the Krieg!

A close second for me, just a bit too close to the real thing… But hey, what’s to argue against more badasses in trench coats and gas masks

I would say Infinity miniature game has more Extraction style in their minis than GW WH40K minis. :stuck_out_tongue:
