Guns not spinning or respawning

I have put these weapons in my map using weapon_flamethrower etc

The problem I have is that they don’t spin or respawn even though I have the boxes ticked.

Is there something else I should be doing ?

The only box I haven’t ticked is suspended.

Spawnflags are 10

The weapons are in a kind of secret murderhole so would be nice to have them all available.

Spin only works when combined with suspended.

I don’t think the respawn flag works at all… not sure if targeting them even works like it says in the notes, but you could spawn more with a target_give.

Many thanks, I will correct the error.

I was sure that I had played on maps where these things respawned after a few seconds.

Maybe I dreamt it.

Making them respawn is possible with a trigger_multiple and target to the guns.

Using target_delay delays the respawn with amount of seconds you choose

I made a little prefab for you so you can see what I mean:

In the prefab there are 3 guns:
mp40, sten and riflenade

apparently not all guns can rotate (like riflenade)
I also made a button to make a flamethrower spawn.

To use the delay spawn, spawn as allies, walk through the narrow ‘hallway’, wait 5 seconds in the other room and tadaaa

I think models with spawnflag 2 will spin.

That is excellent, but it raises some questions as I am very interested in the func_button command that you have done.

I can’t seem to find it in the entities list.

Is it possible to change the sound the button makes when pressed ? I tried Classname: Noise and Key: /sound/movers/switches/switch_02.wav but it played the same sound as before.

I also noticed you just called it flamer instead of weapon_flamethrower.

Are there any more func_ commands that are not found in the list, or am I looking in the wrong place ??

It might have solved a few headaches and late nights I have had in the past if I knew about it.

Excellent work, thankyou very much, I have learned a lot today.

Sounds like you’re using the standard entity list that comes with Radiant (which is nowhere near a complete list of what’s available)

I’ve been working on an updated version over the past few days, taking EB’s version that he posted on here as a starting point.

Have a look at et_entities.ent for the current version. You’ll see there are far more listed than you’ve got.

“Save as” that page, replacing the file of the same name in your : (radiant installation)/et.game/etmain folder, and the next time you start Radiant you’ll have all the entities listed, along with more accompanying details.
