gun shader help

this is somewhat the standard shader for weapons:

models/weapons2/ar15/ar15
{
	{
		map textures/effects/envmap_slate.tga
		rgbGen lightingdiffuse
		tcGen environment
	}
	{
		map models/weapons2/ar15/ar15.tga
		blendFunc GL_ONE GL_ONE_MINUS_SRC_ALPHA
		rgbGen lightingdiffuse
	}
}

what could i change to make the texture more like it really are…coz the gun comes out greyish…
and it shouldn’t be…

anyone?

sorry no clue … atm im also creating new weapons … but im still a shadernewbie

i know what was wrong…the shader says tga…and my ski was jpg…anyways you have to use tga’s if the shader should work…just as you know :slight_smile:

made a working ak47
