Guide on Aura?

(SweetGenocide) #1

So, today i got a gold from a random case, lucky me, and its a good loadout on Aura with the Remburg, it’s the R72 Close Assault, and i decided that i might do her as a main merc, but since i dont play her so much i asked for some tips and tricks with her, so any help?

Aura is really simple.
Chuck down a healy box where the team makes an easy target and the box doesn’t. Watch the points roll in.
General medic tips apply. Don’t jump into a firefight to zap someone up who can just spawn in 1 second and get both of you longspawned.
Prioritize your teammates that are doing shit. General order is Engis (needed for uhb-jek-tivs)>Other Medics>Assault/Fire Supports>Engis (not needed for uhb-jek-tivs)>That Recon on the other side of the map that hits his shots >>>>>> That level 3 Vaseline who cant hit the broadside of a barn and is ADSing in spawn. Another way is to just zap the closest bastard that is down, but that’s just boring.
Charge them defibs, unless they died on your healy box. Giving someone an extra life at 30 HP doesn’t help anyone, unless they get instahealth from a 'Bonez Pack or Phoenix Sneeze. You generally don’t have the luxury of moving your heals from where the team needs them to top one guy off.
NEVER PICK UP YOUR BOX TO PUT IT IN THE SAME LOCATION. Farming XP with that might seem good, but you can leave your team high and dry if that box goes down.

I generally recommend loadouts whenever someone asks for merc advice, even though you have a card now, I would suggest experimenting. The big perks on Aura are Get Up and Extra Supplies to keep your teammates/idiots (terms are interchangeable) and box up. Healing Reach and Potent Packs aren’t bad by any means, but I see them as a case of overkill. The box already has a huge AoE and heal potential, giving it more isn’t as important.
Everything below assumes Gen2.
Most people will tell you that SMGs are better than shotguns/crutchguns, and I’m one of them. BL41 (Blishlok, M9, Beckhill) has the best weapon set, and the two perks I highlighted above, Get Up and Extra Supplies. It’s unfortunately gimped by Double Time, which breaks sprint-canceling. Even with that, I still use this card.
If you are deadset on using a shotgun, H82 (Hollunds, Selbstadt, Toothpick [Stilnotto]) and R81 (Remburg, Selbstadt, Beckhill) have Get Up. (I’d take the R81 for Bomb Squad and Drilled over Springy and Healing Reach.) H71 (Hollunds, Caulden, Beckhill) and R73 (Remburg, Caulden, Bat) have Extra Supplies. (I’d take H71 for Bomb Squad and Potent Packs over Untrackable and Healing Reach.)

there is no big thing to deal with her she is a low health but with the station she can be REALLY good at def . keep moving and keep changing the station place so ennemies wont just molotov or airstrike to where you are and if you notice an airstrike try to take the station and run away so after it end you insta reput the station (doesnt always work with arty cause he have a fast air support ) and to be a good reviver with her try to wall jump a lot so you become harder to hit and charging the reviver in mid air to revive a fallen allies is a good idea but you will need to know what to do

Flank, flank always, flank everywhere, flank them all. It’s what shotgun Aura does best. That, and if you see team mates in a fight see if you can crossfire with them. As shotgun Aura you can’t really challenge most people head on for a 1v1 fight though, if you’re playing well it will be really intense, you have to make full use of her speed, pay close attention to spawn timers and think about where your opponents will be, think of cheese corners where you can hide to catch them from behind and so on.

Station placement is pretty intuitive, just put it in corners behind choke points where your opponents won’t be able to easily hit them with explosives.

i would recommend you playing with blishlok

Aura uses a shotgun & blishlock which is a sub machine gun. You might want to get closer to the enemy using shotguns with trick jumps or using Aura speed. A shotgun will kill anyone one-shot except Rhino I think. Using the Blishlock you might need more shooting abilites to try to overpower enemies, however it does have a decent fire rate so that can be nice.
