Seeing how Shovel Knight has made a lot of cameos in other games.
Why not let DB mercs have guest appearance in other games as well?

[spoiler] I can totally see Phantom cameo in Road Redemption, since it’s a moto-bike combat racing game. There are armored masked bikers with all sorts of weapons, that includes katana.
