I thought the same thing, but nope. I was killed twice by a Proxy running up and plopping a mine down while my drone was active.

Had that happen too…or at least the Proxy tried but failed to kill me…which shouldn’t happen.
The Sky Shield doesn’t destroy mines when they’re being deployed. This is by design and not a bug.

Im fine with counters, but the thing being active with a red shield telling the other team that the drone is up and waiting it out is a counter onto the device itself…
Make it exactly like turtles shield, leave it up until its destroyed… Because a running phantoms cloak or a stealthy proxy delivering a pizza is already detrimental enough to it besides kira just blasting through.
If the enemy team is good at PVP which i always seem to be in matches in which they are -_- They will kill the engineers long before the drone can protect it. If you get rid of the self expire detonation on the drone, it will be in perfect.

I agree on the dome fully, the Red shield indicator should be disabled tbo. The current active duration when deployed is so short that the air support on the other team can just wait it out and then start spamming again once its down.
it would synergize with turtles shield but the cool down is longer than the drones life expectancy in duration so up time is not realistic.
The game in general is just to fast paced to worry about air support deployment. You have enough time to counter an airstrike, but not an arty strike. I say just remove the self detonation. Keep it up until its shot down like turtles shield. Would it seem powerful yes, but it will force people out of cover. Since EV repairs usually have little anyways.
