Hi,
i am following this tutorial (http://www.pythononline.co.uk/et/tutorial.htm) here and i have come up to a bit where i have to add a tree. it tells me to look in the models folder in etmain and look for a tree_a.md3. i can find this on the directory but when i open it a small white box comes up with no tree in sight. i have also compiled the map with the tree/box and cannot see anything where the tree was supposed to be? anyone know anything about that?
Thanks Nevloow
GTKRadiant 1.4.0 models.
i have just tryed to out another model into the map but with no success. it seams i cannot put any models into my map. any advice?
You must setting path for GTK radiant1.4 ,sorry cant post link on this (using internet in mobile phone) but If you will search user on this forum (me - Kic) you can find my post - Godbye communitty and here you find link on my forum and here you find help
Have the small white box selected, press “N”, and change the model’s path from:
c:/Program Files/Enemy Territory/etmain/models/mapobjects/trees_sd/tree_a.md3
to only
models/mapobjects/trees_sd/tree_a.md3
(some submaps in the path may alter according to your personal settings)
Apply this procedure to every model you want to use.
To fix it permanent - go to C:/Program Files/GTKRadiant-1.4/games/et.game
open et.game file and edit the enginepath to : C:\Program Files\Wolfenstein - Enemy Territory/
Damn, I was just a tad too late to quote Magic in an earlier post on this forum
:
<<Think you have to change the path
C:/Program Files/Wolfenstein - Enemy Territory/etmain/models/mapobjects/trees_sd/tree_a.md3
try this path :
models/mapobjects/trees_sd/tree_a.md3
to fix this permanent go to C:/Program Files/GTKRadiant-1.4/games/et.game
open et.game file and edit the enginepath to : C:\Program Files\Wolfenstein - Enemy Territory/
hope this help>>
Yes Magic , he must changd in Wordpad et.game (I cant solve it now, I were taking pauze 1,5 year and my english isnt enough good to talk about it )
thanks i pressed n on it and put the model/modobjectives or whatever it was. that worked for one tree but i opened the et.game file in wordpad but my path in that is:
name=“Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory”
enginepath =“C:\Program Files\Wolfenstein - Enemy Territory/”
gametools=“C:\Program Files\Wolfenstein - Enemy Territory\Radiant-1.4/”
basegame=“etmain”
engine=“ET.exe”
gamename=“et”
is that right?

Set your engine path to this and i think it will work fine :
enginepath =“C:\Program Files\Wolfenstein - Enemy Territory/”
