GTKRadiant 1.2.10 camera plugin

(omnix32) #1

Well, playing with it as I have never messed with cameras in RTCW i got it to show a picture that was jumping around in the preview options. Any information on what can be done with this as nothing was included in the about section. also explain the spline, interlopated ect. I also noticed a run scripts, is this just for sp or can it be used in MP and used for misc_spotlights?? Sorry. never looked at cameras since half-life and don’t like tools in GTKRadiant I don’t understand. does look cool though. just a doc on all the features and how to use them would be enough.

fun mapping.

If you are refering to Camera cutscene’s like in the SP then NO documentation exists, plus we deal with MP stuff mainly.

Yeah someone here did make it but it was it made for the GTK radiant coding team. A subtle difference but one which should be noted.

In answer to the question, still no documentation. I’m sure some documentation will appear but when I don’t know.

There is some basic documentation in the wolfsdk released by gray matter. This relates to the q3radiant version of the plugin, but it is fairly similar.

I’ll try to find some time over the next few days to adapt it for the gtkradiant version (which has some quirks removed and allows for multiple cameras to be loaded/edited at the same time)

Thanx rr2do2. Will be looking foward to it.

Thanks for the camera editor, it works great for helping establish a cinematic feel to my opening FMV.
I would be grateful for any additional info on its use and perhaps more info in the camera’s inner workings.
Like FOV, START/END perimeters? I can’t seem to get any results with them.
and maybe some definitions about the “TYPE” perimeters used throughout the scripts.
Ex. type 2 (what is a type 2? are there other types I could try?)
The “EVENT” entry in the scripts has “type” as well as a “param” and “time” that interest me as I believe they give my intro FMV its 70mm screen size look but I am unsure.
As you can see I have lots of questions and not many answers
I hope you can help but if not thanks for the excellent camera tool, you rock.
