I got this working! \o/ !!!
The thing is to get the right libgtkglext version.
I used this: http://rpm.pbone.net/index.php3/stat/4/idpl/941860/com/libgtkglext-1.0_0-1.0.5-3mdk.i586.rpm.html
It is for mandrake but seemed to work on redhat too.

I have gtkglext RPMs rebuilt for RH9 at:

http://parasol.tamu.edu/people/jkp2866/myRPMS/misc/

Basically, just the PLD (POLISHed) package rebuilt on RH9.

Yeah thx SiliconSlick.
Do you have any useful .sh scripts to compile maps etc. to share with us? besides you excelent checker.

Radiant seems to bee more fluent and faster under linux. I<3 my linux box.

BTW when I compiled my map that used the terrain alpha blending dotproduct or what is it called with the q3map2 that came with the 1.4 radiant.
Is there newer available for linux? some nightly test build maybe?

You can download the newest versions of q3map2 from here: http://akiba.shaderlab.com/q3map2/
