GTK Radiant problem with compiling

(Penny Lardass) #1

Hi!

Whenever I try to compile my map in GTK Radiant, I get this error message:

Error opening D:/Enemy Territory/etmain/maps/test.bsp: No such file or directory

I double-checked the paths and everything…reinstalled the damn thing over and over again, but no luck…always the same message. Undoubtfully, I’m doing something wrong here so I’m hoping one of u local nerds  could help me out with this one.

Thanks in advance,

PL

Do you create your map with oder name ?
Do you polish
:moo:

is this during the compiling or when you are about to test the map? (I know it says compiling, but it’s making no sence to me)

Sorry fo leaving out the smilie by the “local nerds” part. Just wanted to let u know it was a joke.

@ThompZen:

I save the map as test.mp and then go to BSP menu to compile it and choose -vis -fast and get this error.

My GTK Radiant is installed on my C partition inside the Program Files folder and my W:et is on a different D partition.

During the installation I entered all required paths but it’s still giving me the error.

You should select the BSP -meta -vis -light -fast -filter option for testing your map.
Without the -meta stage there is no acutal .bsp file where the -vis and the -light stage work with…

I did that and at the end of the process I got “MAP LEAKED” message. I actually made a one room (box) put a player & light inside and that’s it.

Ok. I managed to succefully compile and load my map in the game. While in Spectator mode everything’s fine but as soon as hit the L key (Limbo) the game freezes.
?

Thx,

This has been discussed a million times, but I’ve never answered it before, so what the heck.

You have to specify mapcoordsmins and mapcoordsmaxs in your worldspawn entity.

Do a quick search on mapcoordsmins and mapcoordsmaxs and you’ll find a solution.
