Ok this suddenly happened.

When I start my gtk radiant this error comes up

When I click yes it goes to preferences. When I click no it just shuts down.
So I tried again. Now a new error comes up.

When I click no this comes up

So I tried restarting again but then it started again at pic 1.
Help me please because this is really anoying.

I had somethig similar also several times but cleaning the registery settings helped in my case. Maybe you uninstall GtkRadiant, delete all files that the system might leave, go in to the registery manually (type in “Run…” > regedt32 <) and delete all stuff that is related to GtkRadiant and then install again after rebooting?

Anyone else because I hope there is a better solution…

i pressed no, no and ok … and it worked… this occurres if radiant crashed last time , doesn’t it?

Actually I remember that I reinstalled ET a couple days ago. I removed the etmain + etpro folder was there anything important in it that could’ve caused this?

I saved the etmain/maps folder.

(isbowhten) #6

the only two thing being in there are the textures and extra entites (entity update) arent they?
textures do not cause that!
“extra stuff” is the only folder which could be important for radiant in my case, but i am sure that thsi doesnt cause that problem

a pc restart often helps.

Not really. Fixing a problem wouldn’t be THAT easy.

soz for double post but reinstalling didn’t help. I really hope someone could help me with this because I want to continue my map.

Alas poor Yorrick… (sorry couldn’t resist).
Sounds like an awkward predicament, the registry fix sounds like the most workable although make a backup before you edit anything.
