It would be nice if the mercs would be grouped by class (assault, medic, objective specialist, fire support, recon) as it would make selecting them easier and faster. I never seem to find the merc I’m looking for.

Unfortunately since SD doesn’t seem to be prioritizing the new player experience or even QoL (outside of optimization), this probably won’t be happening soon. It should’ve happened a long time ago. They’ve asked for ways to improve the new player experience, and this change would be a massive benefit because a lot of new players don’t initially see how the mercs have different roles. If they saw it every time they chose their squad, they’d get it.
And for the record, after 500+ hours in the game it still takes me a few seconds to find who I’m looking for.
I don’t know why they haven’t done it yet. SD, plz.
