I was thinking how great it would be if you could pick the 3 mercs you want for the game, and instead of being restricted to the one loadout card for each one, like maybe you could pick which card from your inventory you wanna use from your select 3 while in game. Here’s how it would play out, whenever you die, you press f1, f2, or f3 to change to the merc you want, and then a menu pops up with that merc’s loadout cards from your inventory and you pick one and then spawn up with that merc and loadout.

What are your thoughts?

While it would help you be more situational, it would give players with more cards a definite edge because they could easily change to different augments and weapons if they needed to.

I feel this would negatively affect gameplay. I would rather see a 4th merc being added to players squads before the ability to change loadouts midgame. Just my 2cents since you were asking.

I can see some people wanting this and others not wanting it (see @Ardez’s post). It would definitely be a divisive feature. However, there is precedent in other competitive FPS games that allows you to do something similar to this. But it’s also restricted in others.

I’d definitely be more onboard with a 4th Merc as it would let people run with each type of Merc if they chose.

Well if they want to run around with each type of merc they will need a 5th slot :slight_smile:

Recon, Assault, Fire Support, Medic, Specialist.

Everybody forgets about recon. Understandably though, they need to release some of the other three. lol

I guess I’ve always put them under fire support mentally even though that’s incorrect in regards to the game.

The point of choosing 3 is keeping your squad ready for multiple play types. It also promotes team work. You can only bring 3, so a friend should bring a Merc that has a skill set you lack in your squad.
