Great game! Steam free weekend coming to convince those on the fence?

First off, to Splash Damage, thank you for a breath of fresh air! Wonderful game. Second, to the majority of people reading this post, you’re probably here to post something negative, because most people only have something to say when they are complaining (the rest are too busy enjoying the game) - so, to you all, sorry this isn’t your kind of game, but cest la vie.

I’d just like to submit a plea to the developers to put in a free weekend on Steam sometime relatively soon. There are a lot of people in the PC community I game with that are very interested but still on the fence about the game. We are a very teamwork oriented group of gamers, and I’m sure they would love the game, but are rightfully wary due to it being pretty different from your standard FPS these days.

Don’t expect a reply, I just hope to keep the idea fresh in your minds. Again, thanks for the game!

If the game wasn’t so bad, there would be less people complaining about it on forums.

That’s not how the internet works.

There’s only a handful compared to how many who actually like the game. They just stand out because they

SPAM how much they hate the game in multiple topics.

It’s a proven psychological trend: if you like something, you tell a couple of people about it, if you hate something you tell loads.

People rarely sign up to a forum to tell a company they’ve made a wonderful product, but people can’t /wait/ to sign on to bitch when they feel they’ve been cheated.

It’s not a marker for anything but the sorry state of people.

I’m not saying there won’t always be people bashing or complaining about something. Of course there will, I’m not stupid. I’m just saying that bad games, which have more things to complain about, will have more people talking about said deficits whereas good games, which have fewer things to complain about, will have less people complaining and more people just discussing aspects of the game.

if they had free weekend it would reveal the secrete of low/teribble performance. That would be bad for business with this performance stinker known as brink.
