Grass and Ground

(flower.Hercules) #1

Does anybody have a repository that they frequent that has a nice selection of grasses? I’m a terrible texture artist and there seems to be every other kind of textures: doors - walls - rocks - sand - etc. but not much in the way of grass :frowning:

I know there are a few really nice ones that come with ET - it is nice to have a slightly larger selection. Just a question, no worries if there aren’t any responses. Map-Center doesn’t have any that I came across, either. They have an incredible selection of various types of textures, for those interested.

Google has provided a couple, the problem is - I think most of Googles weren’t really intended to be used in-game  The majority of the results pooled look quite awful in game. They are seamless with bad repeats.

Ah berneyboys, I completely forgot about him. I had that texture pack at one time and up and lost it :o Thanks for both of your replies, I will grab that one again.

Gimp has a filter to create tileable textures.
Very easy to use and results are also good (I’ve only had a view tries).

Here’s a few more game texture sites…

I appreciate all of your generous suggestions. I was expecting many links to the texture section of the big sticky guide :o

These are all great!

nUllSkillZ, I use Gimp and the make seamless filter is a god-send.
