Graphics options and performance

(CCP115) #1

I feel as though the lowest graphical settings aren’t nearly as low as they could go. I currently run on a GTX 660, and I have no clue as to how well it is meant to run, but I run at lowest anyway for max performance. I still get lag spikes occasionally.

Does anyone have a general idea as to the expected performance of this card? Is this game CPU intensive, or mainly GPU? Would it be possible for the devs to add in a “lower” graphic option, because as it stands it isn’t very low.

game is CPU dependant, new low settings are coming

(CCP115) #3

Well that was fast. Also I am screwed, TF2 was CPU dependent and it lagged quite a bit. AMD 8320 not for gaming ;-;

(Ghosthree3) #4

AMD CPUs not for anything :frowning:

Their GPUs are pretty solid, not my choice, they’re ok though. But their CPUs are a fucking joke.

Brace yourselves , Intel Fan boys…incoming… !

Im on i7 with 980m sli…and believe me, even though i can hit my fps cap and can run the game at almost at that fps most of the time, i do get random drops for 2-3 seconds…everything lags, skips frames D: !

You should perhaps check out FPS configs if you’re running at the lowest settings anyway.

I made a guide on them not too long ago and still update it to this day!

It’d also be worthwhile checking out tizeY’s guide for even more optimization methods.

I run my game between medium to high settings with GTX 260, I get sometimes random frame drops occasionally (mainly because it’s in beta, I don’t get it in other games). Before anyone asks, I had the help of my dad, he’s an engineer and he optimized it well enough for it to compensate with the CPU.

@XavienH5 Whats your average FPS ? Also it seems that it doesnt matter which CPU or GPU you have, you will get random FPS drops anyways… I got 2 laptops n pc…Gets random fps drops on all 3systems !

@peppyFarmer I usually get 60 FPS, sometimes maybe like 58 or 59 FPS. I run my resolution on 1900x1200.

You earned yourself 2 “LoL’s” for that one!

Well can you then give some more information of any kind like, when or what’s goingto be changed. I guess not but asking is free :slight_smile:
