I too signed up to post on just this issue. But the game is good enough, (on other platforms at least) to perhaps hold out for a few days in the even that they CAN and do help out the xbox players with a graphics update there are a lot of good elements working here. By all means take the game back if you can but if it a few days before boycotting Splash Damage patch’s have already been released for other issues and the game still hovers at about a 7.5/8 out of 10. Working in the games industry myself I know that these things can sometimes take a while to get on top of.
Graphics Issues I'm Having...Admins and Mods please read this
Isn’t it a shame that everyone who has posted here has expressed a fondness for the game yet still no word from SD!
Lack of response could be 1 of 2 things,
- Working on a fix
or
- They don’t care
Im hoping it’s 1!!
So bad intact that since this issue really hasn’t been addressed or even acknowledged by anyone that I’m starting to think that splash are ignoring the issue and even expected it to happen.
Due to this I’ll be trading in my copy on Friday and will be boycotting any further releases by splash damage.
Same here. I’m just hoping they will accept my return of this game seeing as I’m sure they’ve already had a lot of returns.
On a seperate note, HMV are doing a deal this Friday for people wanting to trade-in Brink. You’ll get £35 off certain items in-store, including LA Noire. Much better to return the game and get your money back so at least Splash Damage doesn’t see any of your money, but some people won’t have that option.
Splash Damage doesn’t deserve my money after all the problems with this game. They’re either incompetent or they’re liars, releasing Brink in this state.
I believe you right about this, the xbox uses an ATI card and the reason why the graphics look so bad is something to do with the code not fully supporting ati cards and it ends up looking like were running it on an out dated pc with all the settings turned down. The good news about this is it can be fixed with a patch but it will take time.I just hope SD are aware of it and are actually working on it.
No response today and my copy’s going, such a shame, hyped up to be one of the biggest games of the year, just to turn out like a bag of ****e!

Game will be doing the £5 trade in deal towards la noire this weekend so I’ll just pay £5 for it.
I’m not giving up on Splash Damage yet. Come on guys, please keep my faith and respond! :stroggbanana:
I just hope COD MW3 doesnt include a ‘Parkour Perk’ cos you wont see anyone on brink multiplayer ever again.
Not unless we get a lobby and the faults fixed on this game.
I’ve sent Cripsy a Private Message asking if he could post a response here, your move SD.
If we could just find out that they are aware it’s a problem and it will be patched, i’ll be happy.
Don’t need to know an ETA, as long as they know the problem exists.
I started this thread…
Pains me to say but, my copy is no longer my copy. I can’t sit around and wait for a response that doesn’t seem to be coming. I can’t keep coming to the SD website and seeing on their front page how they got all these “great” reviews. Oh, msnbc gave you a great review? Cool, too bad I don’t care about msnbc. Gameinformer, Gamspot, they railed this game. I don’t ever listen to what IGN has to say but they were at least right about a game for once. Too much lag, too many people jumping ship, and cons that far outweight the pros have forced me into action. There are too many other games to play and not enough time for me these days what with a new baby. Can’t afford to hold out on an unfinished game that is slowly losing return value.
For the record, on my gamefly account, I can buy Brink for 35.99. Never seen a new game drop price that fast. Also, the average review score has steadily fallen since release, with most reviewers saying they immediately returned it. Pathetic. Good job SD. Good job Bethesda
That is a great shame blueostrichdos, I can’t say I blame you though.
I’m still gonna keep my copy for the time being, they have until the release of LA Noir to come up with something.
Changed post cos I didnt want to make a mockery of something so serious…
Now wheres our reply from SD?
Did they seriously not test this on any xbox 360s?? First, they release it in this hideous state, then they ask for pictures that show proof of it. Seriously? I’ve yet to see it on an xbox 360 that doesn’t look terrible. Somebody donate an xbox to these guys so they can fix these issues…
Hopefully they see the pictures I posted, it’s hard to deny that there’s a problem with those. Quake Wars looked better.
Ok, so now its four days since we heard any news from SD. I am curious as to what has be found to be the problem with the game coding. Has anything been found, or are the programers still searching thru the thousands of lines of code to figure out whats gone wrong? Will we be getting any updates, has a patch been submited to MS for their stage of testing. Does the patch release date coincide with the new DLC? Will there be many patches, for example we will fix the LAG, then move on to AI, ect. We have no information what so ever on what is going on… and people are getting more and more fustrated.
SD/Bethesda, may I make a sugestion… Please keep us updated. How about on Monday morning, every Monday morning, give us an quick update as to what progress has been/not done. Just to apease the general group. I love Brink and want to see this succeed, but fear that the XBox community will eventually give up and Brink will only be found in the cheap/used bin.
PLEASE, PLEASE… Public relations now adays is a must and with everyone getting information quickly from every other source, don’t get killed by trying to sweep these issues under the rug.
Getting pretty bad looks like splash damage doesn’t really give a damn ,did expect a bit more from Bethesda . How difficult is it to just keep us updated by saying “still working on it” or even “sorry won’t be much longer”. Bah!! 2 more days and if there is at the very least still no word on a proper update then stuff it.

blue - sorry to see you go mate, but I can’t say I blame you. Thanks for starting this thread though… hopefully your efforts will pay off. I’m going to hang in there for a little while longer, but my patience is wearing thin
