GPU RAM Usage

Anyone knows the maximum memory usage on the GPU if you run the graphics on Super settings?
I want to upgrade my GPU, and wonder if 3GB is fine.
You can use GPU-Z to check. If anyone’s kind enough.

I just tried Super on my AMD R9 280X 3GB, it takes about 2GB of VRAM.

If you are thinking about GTX 1060 3GB, it’s a good card, I own it too but can’t test Super on it yet as I’m mounting a waterblock on it.

Thanks. Greatly appreciate it.
Yeah I want to purchase the GTX 1060, wonder what will be the performance combined with an old processor such as i5 750 @ 3.3GHz.

GTX 1060 have the ability to run this game at over 130+ fps for sure at high settings,i5 750 is a pretty good processor I will highly suggest you to increase your budget a little bit more to get i5 8400 if you are thinking of getting a new processor but nevertheless Gtx1060 will give you a very good Performance

The problem is, because of the mining hype all GPUs in my country are priced way over their cost.

Same in my country but there has been a speculation about Nvidia launching new graphic card most probably in next 2 months which might lower the price of mid range gaming gpus like gtx 1050ti gtx 1060.Just a little suggestion try to get atleast gtx 1060 3gb, There’s a huge gaming difference between 1050ti 4Gb edition and 1060 3gb.

I have still i5-750 paired with HD5850. Gtx 1060 will be overkill for that CPU, unless you are about to upgrade CPU too in future. There will be bottleneck, even if you clock CPU more. It isn’t good time to buy cards, but if you happen to find quality secondhand gtx 960 with reasonable price. It would harness everything from that CPU, without spending too much to bottleneck. Of course it depends what applications you are planning to use and what are your requirements. Next generation of nvidia cards with new gddr6/vulkan memory will be huge leap and you dont want to miss that. They have already delayed these new gen cards.
