Gotta love the logic...

I forgot how fun it was to play against a team with multiple players who’s levels don’t even total up to the levels of a single player on the other team.

Then when that player doesn’t even have the guts to do anything but ride stacked teams and even switches sides to stack them…then tells people they suck.

Gotta love the logic and balance!

Gotta love the logic that a person with high level should basically just not play because he may be playing with people who’s total accumulated levels matches his.

Like, assume for a moment level don’t exist, what would happen.

Well there are levels…and had a 200+ switch sides to be with another 200+ and then the team completely steamrolled us…

Then when I pointed it out he started to insult me and say I suck and it’s my fault the team was losing.

Nothing to do with how much time you played when you so obviously stack the deck just for a easy win.

It’s the only mode that still shows levels anymore I think…don’t do CMM much unless I’m with a friend which is rarer and rarer. :frowning:

Exactly what happens in CMM and ranked, which is almost exactly the same lol. People just complain about hours or rank instead.

If anything I like displaying levels better. Sure, I get yelled at occasionally for using the server browser as a level 110 something player, but at least it gives me a rough idea of what I can expect from my team without checking through profiles. That way I know whether or not I can trust the medic/engi/assault on my team and if I have to stack with them to support them. And if I was wrong? Oh well, I’ll just change mercs. But it’s better safe than sorry.

Like it or not, levels are usually a more or less accurate representation of skill. It’s not 100%, but playtime is a fairly reliable way to understand your team and their capabilities.

But the thing is, it doesn’t change a thing

You either work together and get better, or you don’t

You playing with people with a different level, rank, letter, special emblem, whatever, doesn’t change the end result and what you need to do as a player.

Yeah…good luck getting better when some gutless coward switches teams in order to stack the deck so it’s a obvious stomp.

Tell me? Seriously…how the fuck am I supposed to get better when I got two people who’re lightyears ahead of me in skill just mowing everyone down?

What…you defending them because were one of your buddies or you? I mean seriously…even if I went into full survivor mode how was I to heal anyone when they’re all dead? Seriously…

Then these cowards want to tell me I suck and blame my losing team on me after I call his punk ass out on it…

Yeah…get better when some loser stacks a team so there is literally 0% chance to win…when I’m the only person above level 30 and they got two people above 200.

Of course it does lol.

Your aura is level 3? Mayyyyybe you should go medic. Your aura is level 200? You’re probably fine on the medic front and can play someone else.
Knowing your team allows you to build strategies and help them in areas where they hurt. Knowing you may have to cover medic is something very useful, rather than just hoping they know what the E button does and ending up disappointed, or the opposite. And that’s only one example.

High level players need to play some where…

I agree, with the size of DB’s population, it’s not really practical to isolate higher level players without making some of your most dedicated community members wait half an hour for a casual match. But still, we used to have min level servers that were more or less fine, but now CMM just groups everyone together.

Even when I was lower level, I don’t really think playing with one or two higher level players is the end of the world as long as they’re balanced across both teams. If anything it helped me get better faster by learning from their strategies.

Here’s a thought

If it’s making you this mad, WHY ARE YOU NOT LEAVING?

If you wanna win, stop worrying and obsessing over what other players are doing. YOU CAN’T CHANGE IT

You have to look at what you’re doing, and see if there’s anything you can do better.

How is your aim? Is your sens too high or too low? Are you effectively tracking and flicking or are you missing quite a few shots?

Teamwork, are you sticking together with your team? Are you trying to do roles that other people are or should be doing? Are you focusing on the objective when needed or not enough?

Are you picking fights you can’t win? Are you trying to get into 1v1s or multiple people at once? Are you flanking from unexpected angles?

What are you doing as a player and how can you do it better? THAT’S how you improve, not forcing other players to be in basically a no man’s land, that’s precisely why Ranked sucked, because you’d never find a match.

If you’re thinking we need a better tutorial then, then yes, we need a better way to teach people how to use the mercs and practice. As well as some sort of offline mode so people can play offline with bots till they get comfortable enough to play with other people.

We need to take a hint from fighting games in regards to how we give our tutorials to players, really that’s the only way any of that changes.

Sorry to be harsh but this topic is sterile.

We all know balance can be shit sometimes, that players can switch sides as they want or go in and out of the match while using server browser maps. We all played unbalanced matches, being the stomped one or the stomper. And we all know that there are people that can be complete assholes sometimes. But nothing can’t change this. For now, the only and best solution we got is the CMM.
