Got PWNED by the bots on CC

Wow, I dunno what happened, but I played a 2 humans vs bots game and once we got the container open, the enemy bot team spawn camped us for about 10 minutes straight.

We couldn’t get near the briefcase thingy since we were getting mowed down by the bridge/crane area outside our spawn. Bots EVERYWHERE and IF we got near the briefcase, we had to deal with 2-3 turrets. Finally decided to take the long way around (going right instead of straight through the shortcut) and was able to disguise and sneak in behind them all. Grabbed the briefcase and made a run for it (once again around the long way).

We won with about 90secs left, but for 10 minutes, it was a slaughter. I don’t remember the bots ever being this tough. They totally spawn camped us and I was getting 1-2 shotted frequently.

Still had fun though. Be on tonight around 7-9pm PST (Xbox 360)

Yeah, me too. My point was that I’ve never been spawn camped like that before by the AI. Its like the bots were totally different in that game. Usually, they setup around the Obj and wait for us, but in that match, they were camping right outside our spawn and kicking our butts. It was weird.

The long way really is the only way to beat bots on that map, it allows you to pick them off from long range and make an opening. If you try to take the shortcut they mow you down from all directions in about 3 bullets to the face.

True, once they stopped camping us, I was able to get over the bridge, hang the right, and go around, but it was like 10 mins of getting rizzaped right out of the spawn before I could get anywhere.

Sometimes if the bots set up shop you are screwed.

Me, Big daddy delta, and its al bout security played escort duty today and some bots CLIMBED into our spawn, the second spawn

had a match last night on terminal (as sec) where the bots pushed back hard after our initial charge, 2-3 ended up all the way up the stairs and charged into our spawn. needless to say, it didnt work out well for them…

I don’t know they’re learning from the players or if the players are learning from them, but i got Spanw camped pretty hard the other night by players. It was Container city, and they managed to not only keep us from blowing the gate, but they even managed to keep us from getting near it. As for the bots, i’ve only had issues with them AT the briefcase in which case they actually manage to hold that short cut like it’s Crack alley. although we had a guy manage to get in and out last minute too.

Human vs human Spawn camping is VERY common at the first part of CC. In fact, if we’re on the D team, if we’ve got them stuck in their spawn by the gate, we will have fun for a few minutes then let the attackers blow the gate just so the game can continue. That map can be very one-sided with a competent D team.

On the flip side, I was on an incompetent D team once on CC and the Attackers rolled right through us in like 7-10 minutes. It was ugly.

Whoa, that’s crazy that the bots actually worked their way into your spawn area. Do they really do that??
