Got Cobalt Phantom - has knife.

Basically me: Has Katana - too afraid to pull KEK. Has Knife - too afraid to pull knife.

So my discussion here is: is Phantom viable with a Knife? (Personal Opinion: Yes).

I concur. My preferred loadout has the combat knife, because it has the reload while running augment. Much fun, very speed.

I just flank behind targets with a full mag and shoot them in the back of the head and sprint away reloading. So fun to watch M4 Fraggers trying to chase after you.

Probably wasn’t me. I never pull my melee as Phantom unless I have a Katana or to run, finish, or pick off a low health enemy.

@gg2ez I know that feeling brother i got a silver katana blishlock loudout eewww. At least imma use to craft my gold phantom. And as long as the loudout has a crotzni/kek it’s not too bad.

@gg2ez @TheOrangePhantome Now i feel super lucky that pulled a cobalt version of the best loadout IMO in a random standard case, the one with the kek and the katana, with chopper undercover and cool i think as augments

I still run with the standard c94 card despite not being a melee Phantom. I find that the Katana, when not used as your primary means of killing people, is rather useful in more situations than the knife is and having a longer invis time is always good. And he doesn’t really have another loadout that is overwhelmingly amazing for his gunplay.

Knife phantom is still good. Especially if you have chopper since that lets you one shot proxies and almost one shot phoenix/vas. It has a faster run speed than the katana and once you get the distance down is not that bad. Yeah I’d prefer the katana but still, it’s not the end of the world to get the knife.

Well, I’ve got a KEK on the loudout so I guess that’s nice.

Great. I feel sh*tter every second.

It’s nothing special but the minimally faster run speed is nice from the knife, I’d prefer the Katana but I don’t really mind as long as I have a KEK or Crotzni.

Knife forces me to use my guns more often, which is nice. I find that I can rely on my shooting abilities more now.

Kind of wish the BL94 was as viable. Maybe if they ever buff the Blishlok.

@Grave_Knight I’ll still use the KEK or Crotzni though. Even if the Blish gets a buff, KEK will always be my fav. But then again, I like the Pistols with the Blish loadouts.

Yes and no. I’d like merc specific melee weapons to be chosen but you can’t always get what you want.

But unfortunately the Blishlok just doesn’t justify using it. T-T

I hope they make series 2 loadouts for Phantom in the future. I just want some good percs with any SMG but a Blish.

@gg2ez I totally agree the blish on phantom is discusting. And my fav is the crotzni. And yeah as long as you dont get a blish loudout ur fine cuz we all know how bad it is.

I have a Gold/Red Phantom with a knife and, while the perks aren’t as great, it’s still solid if you’re not the type of idiot who runs at people with a katana and goes 3/26

@LifeupOmega huh… is it normal for people who pretty much only use the katan to kill people to go 3/26? I’ve only played him since this update but i usually get at least a K/D of 1 to 1 or higher, and most of my kills are from the katana

I’m not, the knife has made me actually get used to gunplay instead of just RMB+W (which I never actuallyused).
