Got abused for playing obj with -ve k/d

I had heard of such things but wow just experienced it first hand. I got shit thrown on me for concentrating on obj and not k/d much less joining a stopwatch on the latter part of an ongoing game with a dreiss I can barely use just because I was level 20+. I play the game to relax and have fun after a day’s work and not to own or make a career out of it. People need to relax a bit and treat it as a “game”, you know the game part is essential to have fun and let others have fun.

DB has become yet another deathmatch game sugarcoated with objectives at face value.

Yeah I understand Min 10 servers but just not as easy to find one in my region much less populated when I play.

Eh just ignore em and do your job as long as your helping your team (as the community defines it - doing the objective, not KD)

Been insulted for not topping the scoreboard 2 min into a match as well. The chatbox in this game is so salty that I dont really care though. There is always someone being salty about something.

I have had some of my worst experiences in gaming on min10 servers as there are a lot of egos that play on them but not a lot of skill in my experience.

To the OP…some people just don’t have any idea of the concept of playing for the objective. I personally hate the “lemming” style of play but in a pub it can and does win games often. I love having one or two players who just throw caution to the wind because I can usually give them the opening they need to get the job done and carry us. They might end up 6-15 and might not even be more than middle of the road in score but they are definitely the MVP a lot of times.

It would be super nice if the game gave out MVP’s or something like that for doing objectives or healing or reviving that was announced to the server post match. It would promote that style of play more and help shield people from a lot of the idiots who don’t understand that the proxy who just threw herself at the EV or trying to deliver over and over won them the game despite a low K/D and overall score.

Every single multiplayer game is going to have its ‘toxicity’. Look at Hearthstone where you can’t even type to the other person and people still complain about BM. Either put up with it or go find something else to do. If DB removes chat or starts banning people for ‘toxicity’, then they can prepare themselves for this game to die off.
