Well with the absolute frustration… I think I’ll be taking a long break from Dirty Bomb, I’m just absolutely frustrated as of this moment. So for the unforeseeable future, I will be staying away from this game.
Peace guys.

You haven’t seen this type of thread before then. It’s just some mid level attention whoring, if they gave a good reason then left it wouldn’t be. They want to be asked why, they want to be asked to stay.
I apologize I haven’t given a reason, so here it is. I cannot stand the RNG for one and have been just bombarded by its ridiculousness, over and over I have not benefited from it. Second I cannot stand the way the pricing, bronze loadout cards cost far too much, the trade system isn’t exactly its saving grace either.
Some of you are saying that the pricing for items as well as mercs is fine, it is not.
I know it just entered open beta, but I cannot just in my right mind play this. Maybe I will come back once things die down but I just cannot play the game at this point.
And whoever called me an attention whore… go fuck yourself.
Good day.
So you gave up the great gameplay because of the microtransaction model that you can use free ingame credits to pay for?
Take a break and try actual pay2win games…and than you’ll trash your computer by than.
If your fun is being entirely governed by getting a card instead of getting enjoyment out of playing the game then you probably might want to take a break.
The whole RNG is just a suckers model… its there for folks who don’t have patience. Or people who think if they had “THAT” merc (which ever one they dont have) they’d be unstoppable.
All the mercs are basically the same. If you don’t do well with one of them, you won’t do well with any of them.
So just enjoy the free aspect of the game, trade up your cards as you go and unlock mercs when you see your GC hit 50k. Simple as that.
Stands for random number generator so it’s technically incorrect to use in the context it is used in. But the idea is clear.
Newcomers need to get math lessons. Seriously. How can you possibly try your chance with crates and trade-ups when you have sh!tload of mercs to unlock ? Those are as reliable as a fruit machine for having what you expect. People REALLY need to get out of their valve habits with crates and understand that it is worthless spending during the first levels. Crates should be kept in a locker until you get level 5 and having unlocked 2 mercs including an engineer.
Just some food for thought : Quick maths with quite strong approximations that will lead to higher results than in reality :
12 mercs, 9 loadouts for each in 5 different qualities. 540 different loadouts as of now. You therefore have 5 chances out of 540 possibilities to drop a specific loadout regardless of the quality (lead to cobalt). This makes less than a percent.
On top of that, you have 70% (if I remember well the numbers) chances that it will be lead quality and 20% for iron.
At the end, you have lower than 0.1% chances to drop a bronze+ specific loadout from a classic crate. Pretty self explanatory. If you buy those, you’re wasting in-game credits and get late on crucial things also known as mercs during your first levels.
