That’s what I’ve wondering that he hasn’t been on the forums lately however he has uploaded some of his projects on his YouTube channel. Perhaps Faraleth is busy working on a project?
Faraleth left on good will, he stated a few things that included not having enough time to moderate anything Dirty Bomb for the time being.
Will miss him for sure.
I am not that surprised to see that Faraleth left. I recently felt like that guy didn’t seemed as happy as when he started his moderator duty. It might hide some personal problems : I hope he is okay.
Anyway, we will miss him.
We may need an other moderator for Eu time zone ?
Sure it’ll be hard to replace this guy.
Not surprised, it’s a lot of work to give update on the streams, be an admin, and manage time for your own personal stuff.

He was annoyed by the people here. He did gods work, but still received a lot of hate. That’s one of the reasons.

We talked a bit about that. For example he was always the bad one when he punished people for breaking rules and similar stuff. And quite a lot of people simply didn’t like him. Moderators burden it seems.
But I would say, I exaggregated a bit by saying “a lot of hate”. But I would be upset aswell when I try to be the good one, and people don’t see me as a good one.

I am myself a moderator on the Warframe forums (way bigger place with way more people). I can say that I know what he’s talking about. A lot of people can act really out of place when you, as a moderator, have to do your job. Being a moderator is definitely not an easy task. If someone thinks that being a moderator is a privilege, man he seriously don’t know what he’s talking about.
However, one should not be mistaken. It’s not “everyone” that hates you because you do your job, it’s just the bad seeds that you had to give a slap in the face basically. Faraleth was prefectly fine and pretty much appreciated as far as I know.
But he seems reflected enough to handle this kind of burden.

He did recieve a lot of bullshit (especially on Reddit) for being on the ‘wrong side’ during the drop booster event, and disappeared after that.

I check both Reddit and the forums at least once a day, so I saw the whole thing. Reddit just kept sunking into bad ambiant and dev bashing comments since Phantom’s introduction in the game. It was during the Rogue En Vogue update that everything just got at its worst though : the whole booster thing just brought a gigantic wave of salt, whine and dev bash. It was insane. Like, 60% of the posts were blatantly toxic.
I think Faraleth just couldn’t stand the whole drama anymore and started to defend the devs in some way to at least make them do less dev bash, but it somewhat failed. He indeed got some backlash… Actually he probably got a lot of it because, you know, having an opinion on the internet that differ from the crowd is as bad as molesting a child to death. I think this is pretty much where everything started to badly for him.
Everything happened for a simple reason IMO : he was alone. If I remember correctly he was the only moderator I saw on Reddit, or at least the only active one. Moderating alone is just impossible, because you appear isolated and you are way more likely to make a mistake in your moderation. If you appear isolated, there’s also a risk that some people will just make you their scapegoat somehow.
