Good times tonight on Xbox Live. Operatives are a hoot!

Played a bunch of great 8vs8 games tonight with Lago, Nickel, Napalm, and some other friends not on this forum yet. Got my Ops (minor engy) to lvl 20 finally.

Learned a fun way to double up a couple of Ops abilities that racked in the XP (and perhaps helped my team a bit). Can’t believe it took me this long to figure it out:

  1. Kill a baddie or find a dead baddie lying around.
  2. Disguise!
  3. Sneak around and get behind the enemy team.
  4. Look at enemies and pull left trigger to kinda zoom in on each baddie.
  5. Bad guy marked and they have no idea wtf just happened.
  6. ???
  7. Profit!

Also love to hack an enemy turret in the middle of a firefight. I wish I could hear what theyre saying once I have their own turret shooting them in the back.

Working on my 3rd char now. Going Assault (minor medic), haven’t gone skinny yet. Do skinny assaults do well?

Each class can be efficiently played as any body type, it really comes down to what you want to do and which weapons you want to use. For instance, when I play as a soldier I like to use a medium because I like using assualt rifles with the grenade launcher attachment. The soldier’s grenade buffing abilities make it pretty deadly.

If I feel like playing as a medic I like to use a light, I can get around the map faster to revive or buff team mates on the front lines.

Engi and Op I don’t really care which body type I’m in, I don’t really care to use OP unless there’s a hacking objective and it’s one of the few times there aren’t like 3 ops on the team and engi works well as either medium or light.

Here’s hoping the buff to heavy weapons will make them worth the trade off in mobility. (really itching to try a rockstedi/newly buffed hjammer combo).

I just use one “jack of all trades” character, if I feel like playing medic from the get-go I’ll change my body type to light before I start playing, otherwise I just keep medium and every class plays fine.

Like I said, it just depends on your strengths. Normally being a body type that enables you to use your favorite weapon/weapon combo works better than forcing a body type to a class like you’re role playing or something.

Always a good game session with Lago, wolf and the rest of the fellas. You are bound to learn something new every time!

Hope you guys are gonna be on Friday night, cos I’m trying to clear my Saturday morning for a mad sesh!

I will be on Friday. It was so hot last night, I just chilled out and played no games. Will be on tonight hopefully! Hopefully we can game on Friday when you are on.

Friday and Sat nights are bad for me unfortunately. Between playing hockey and bar hopping, I am out all night.

I’ll try to be on again tonight by 7pm PST. Maybe earlier.

I have yet to roll with a light body type, but if I want to main as an assault, I see your point about the GL. Maybe I’ll just stick with the med-heavy body, then next character when I main a medic, I’ll go light.

Good input, thx!

While I think that all body types can play all classes, I certainly find that I prefer heavy for Soldiers (all the better to kill you with) and light for Medics (all the better to be everywhere at once healing, buffing, and reviving). For the moment I favor medium for Engineers, but I really haven’t played this as much as either of the other two classes, particularly Medic.

(wolfnemesis75) #8

With ten character slots you could probably have 2 sets of body-type specific characters and classes with two character slots left over for a favorite or two. Right now I have 1 hvy soldier, a lt Medic and Engy/Operative, and a Med Operative/Soldier. And a med Jack. I am feeling the urge to start a couple new guys. My Jack is lvl 15.

(St NickelStew) #9

That is definitely what I am doing! I respec-ed one of my characters this week into a Medic/Engineer/Operative took him from 15 to 19 playing last night with folks from here.

Don’t know if I will ever make a true Jack-of-all-Trades, but I now have two 3-class characters, one heavy non-medic, and one light non-soldier.

I keep meaning to work on my Jack. But get invites from people who are using 20s. And the urge to use my badass Engy/Operative is just too strong. I even backed out the other day from Medic, and switched to my Engy. I am surprised that I’ve become such an Engineer/OP freak, but I guess I got a degree in Engineering now instead of Medical.

I have a level 20 in every class, and two 3-class characters (the 2nd of whom is level 19). But all but one of them is at least part Medic and that is usually how I leveled all of them up.

I got 18k using homing beacon once.

(SinDonor) #13

DAMN! I think I managed a 5k XP game with it, but 18k is insane.

(its al bout security) #14

its easy if you disguise or use scope weapons

(bastuden) #15

Its not a real party if Troywilldestroy is not invited, I’ll teach you how to OP!

(SinDonor) #16

Scope is good, but can’t use it while disguised unfortunately.

(SinDonor) #17

Bring it? I already done brought it!

I just sent you a fr on XBL.

(nephandys) #18

Somehow i don’t have you on friends yet so we’ll try to get you in some games asap. I’ll be on tonight by 8PM EST.
