Im supporting him right? A dedicated medic too and we would be awesome trio.

Nothing wrong with support focussed videos. They often are more enjoyable than frags. But, what exactly happens to Rhino if you give him ammo?

(Glottis-3D) #5

overheat timer resets? kind of cooldown

#6

Why do you ask? Does he have unlimited ammo or something?

(Glottis-3D) #7

yes he does have unlim ammo with minigun

#8

lol i didnt know.

(Glottis-3D) #9

ammo pack cooldown rhino’s mingun, afair.

(Smooth) #10

A direct hit with an ammo pack should mean he can fire longer with the minigun as it reduces overheat.

I love subtle little interactions like that.

What other effects do ammo packages have? I don’t believe Nader or fletcher are getting a cooldown reset of some sort.

Either way, would be cool if ammo crates could also include ability proefficiency. That would make field ops a much more valid support role. Doesn’t have to be anything drastic, just a slight cooldown boost would already be really neat.

Just played a SC2 MobA where a hero had a similar ability. His aura ‘pulses’ mana/energy back into the friendlies nearby. Suddenly you find yourself looking at how depleted each of your team-mates are and even performing proefficiency-triage on the ones that need it most. Like boosting a hero that is in a position to do more damage or helping out a team-mate who could be using one of his own abilities to escape but doesn’t have the required mana/energy yet.

In that way it would make a lot of sense for a field ops to start dropping ammo crates like a madman wherever his team is about to make a huge push or going for a last stand. Then clever field ops players can even go further and directly hit the players that really need it the most.

For this to be of any use a field ops would also need to be provided information on the abilities of each of players. Maybe in a very rough and simple indicator (like a an empty/half/full circle near their names, just like ammo in brink).
