SD does deserve some public thanks. I thank my mom for last night’s delicious lasagna but also for the dry meatloaf tonight which she forgot about in the oven. There is one thing that kinda bothers me, though, and that is that I can’t decide which is more sad; the mindset that sees a public statement (running along with or contrary to popular opinion) as an invitation of ridicule or the attitude that spurs a person as one obligated to provide that ridicule.

It’s pretty sad that people that absolutely dislike this game feel to need to go posting in just about every single thread on this forum, when they could be on forums of games they do like actually making constructive posts for that community. The OP of this post is just trying to state his opinion in a manner that will not start arguments, and show that he is pleased with the product SD released to him (even if it does admittedly have some flaws as is), yet the trolls and flame-baiters still feel the need to come in here spouting their, “95% of people that bought this hate it, it was highway robbery of my $50, your opinions are garbage because they aren’t my opinions, never buying another SD game again, and this game isn’t top 100 on steam!” nonsense.

I personally have put in over 50 hours into the game now, making it round out to about $1 per hour of entertainment as is, which is more than fine in my books as far as getting my money’s worth from a video game. SD has been taking so much crap from the disappointed community members and trolls since the game was released, it’s only fair some threads should be made to praise them for the game, as making a game and having nothing but insults thrown at it on it’s official forums would be pretty demoralizing, and wouldn’t make me want to put hours into making new content and fixes.

Thanks for continuing to work towards bettering an already entertaining game SD!

Really getting tired of the bandwagon haters in these forums. yes brink has problems . but when it works its a really good game and can get really intense when there are 2 good teams (note i said teams and not leet lone wolves like almost every other shooter.) someone said that the smart system is a joke , yet the movement in brink is some of the best I’ve played in quite awhile. instead of like in cod where ur this uber bad ass soldier who can quick scope a 50cal. sniper w deadly accuracy ,yet sprint like a fat kid w asthma and struggle to climb over crates like a 2 year old trying to climb into mummys king size bed. honestly its starting to bother me that other shooters dont have smart.

anyone hating on brink please name your fav shooter and i will give you 20 reasons why said game sux ass and u are just on that developers nutz . but thats your opinion on why u love w/e game it is and u are entitled to it . just like the op and plenty others who like what brink is about. yes its been 2 months but the update they are working on should fix alot of problems. its just sad most shooter fans have the patience of a 5 year old, brink is being fixed in such a short amount of time where as alot of shooters still have certain problems (mw2) while others took just as if not longer to bring a patch out.

Well here is some sort of evidence that im not the only one playing it, also that its possible to get some good games against humans, unfortunately i couldnt play yesterday, but been told by clanmembers that they had a blast.

now dont look at current players, look at graph.

who ever had input into it (sims) needs his bollox curb stompt and his cheerleaders gutted. this is a awful game that has no redeeming feutures. Dlc ooooh. patches so far, rubbish. said it themselves some cvar changes on guns etc that made what pc player asked for worse.

it aint et it aint qw. Fans on either games dislike it because it’s just fluff.

urgh awful.

(il just edit this if u love it on xbox or p3 then im really glad. but on the whole us pc players are a tad disapointed) (not a dispute or anything just from what i know)

It’s just a case of different strokes for different folks, I hate rap music but a lot love it! I do like ETQW but I never was a vehicle whore, I just play the infantry role and that’s why I like Brink because it’s just infantry and no vehicle spam :slight_smile:
