Hello there! As the title says I’m the new guy on the splash-team (actually started yesterday. wee!) and i just wanted to give you all a quick hello.
I’m 25 years old guy (I refuse to acknowledge my birthday next month) and I’m from the cold country of Sweden. I’ll be working in the art team with the environment guys.
It’s exciting to be here and I hope you don’t crush me to hard if you play against me online!

Is environment artist an expensive word for mapper? Or is this more about modelling bushes?

But generally, a mapper is a mapper and an environment artist is an environment artist. To wierd it up some more, some companies have their own terms like world artist, level artist, level designer, environment modeler, world planner and the tasks within these roles might differ from company to company. There’s really no golden rule to it!
