Hi blad3!
You need to open the editor file (goldrush.map) in the editor (Radiant) and manually move a lot of entities. Then rename and compile the file which, in turn, gives you the so called .bsp-file (the file that the game engine reads and lets you and all other gamers play the map). Since you have renamed the file, you also need to go into a lot of scripts and other map files and do small but significant changes here and there. In the end, you package all these necessary script files and other files, including the new bsp-file, into a new pk3-file. It is that pk3-file that you then distribute to gamers and server admins.
The original goldrush.map file is available from somewhere. I know it came with the editor at some point in time. I also know that the entire bunch of original and official .map files for Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory were released some time ago. Google around and I am sure you will find them.
Also, search this forum for information about map editing and stuff, including information about where to download that bunch of .map files.
Hope that answers your question.

Hi
I was looking for and I could not find anywhere else on the internet goldrush.map map file: / someone knows where you can download it?

did you ever hear of etpro mapscripting ?
trying it this way will make you run into probably even more problems, including the long compile times for goldrush, fixxing of errors, bugs, beauty correctnesses, to then recompile it again and again, to then suddenly figure out -meta compile is not enough, up to fixing shaders, arena files, script files, conventions… <3
also your customers might not be happy to download another goldrush. and what you are attempting to do will cost you ALOT of time. nothing you do just overnight. it always depends, when you have great help then you will do this in 2 days minimum, doing it alone can take you up to half an year, depending on your english and tutorial search skills. weather you do this with scripting only or doing a whole recompile. last one i wouldnt recommend.
but i dont wanna discourage you :>
:stroggtapir:
I think you can, if you can add arouind 3 new splines with a map script then yes…
of course. otherwise i wouldnt have mentioned that. but what you must take care of is limits. the general method is deleting splines and creating new. use radiant for additional help.
Notepad++ is good for doing scripts. It counts lines (Incase you have an error such as “Invalid line 882”), shows if your {}'s are open or closed, and other good features. It can be downloaded for free from… somewhere.
